My parents and I were very happy with this property. It was beautiful, just like the pics on line. Check in was the easiest - as well as check out. There were lovely little amenities in the bathrooms and the kitchen. There wasn't anything we needed. We were there for a graduation at James Madison so it was the perfect locale. We were only there for 2 nights but the house provided a great place to relax after the days events. The place is certainly a gem!

We had a great stay at this lovely property. The woods behind the house was lovely and it was a perfect combination of remote feel with convenience to hiking and restaurants. It was easily the cleanest place we have ever stayed! The beds were comfortable and the layout of the house was perfect. We especially liked the guest mode on the Roku so that after a long day of hiking, we could pick up exactly where we had left off!

Very quiet and loved the porch! I was sad that the fire pit that was shown in the photos was unusable (we brought s’mores) and the water was tricky to adjust for good temps and pressure. Owners were incredibly responsive. It was very clean and a large space. Check in/out was very easy. Overall this was a great stay.

Why they chose this property

We chose to purchase this home because it is attached to family land. This rental property gets its name from this very transaction. We are the third couple in our family to own this lovely property.

What makes this property unique

This property is surrounded by the Blue Ridge and the Massanutten Mountains. The views in this area are amazing and the property itself is peaceful and relaxing. I love visiting Luray, Va., just 10 minutes up the road to walk main street and enjoy all of the antique shops.
