The space

Glitter and Grit has all the comforts of home and is located on 40 acres and is a perfect tiny home to enjoy out in the country. Plenty of space to park. If you are traveling in a group we have 7 other tiny homes down the Lane. We are not located in Fredonia, but in CaneBeds.

We are a cattle family who homesteaded the Arizona Strip. Our place has horses, cats, dogs, chickens, roosters, goats and cattle. We are completely off the grid. Our water is off a well and our electricity is solar. The rooster crows in the morning. The water can sometimes have a unique odor but is clean and safe and we provide free water bottles. We don’t see them often but there are snakes (mostly blow snakes but rattle snakes are native, scorpions (non poisonous) coyotes and other critters from time to time .

If you like petting and feeding the ranch animals, please feel free to offer a hand.
We are 5,000 feet in elevation and experience all seasons. We are 15 minutes away from the coral pink san dunes.

We were only here 1 night, but would stay again. Loved the animals and the very friendly black cat! There were 3 twin mattresses upstairs, which accommodated our party of 5 perfectly. My only tip for others coming to the property is to save the entry/wifi details to your phone while you have phone coverage, because you may not have coverage when you get there.

This place is such a hidden gem. The setting is breathtaking. Staying in the cabin, sitting by the log fire, watching the sun going down was truly magical. The cabin is comfy and has everything we needed for our stay. The farm animals, and the super cute friendly cats were an added bonus. We loved every minute of our stay here.

This place played such a big role in our first trip to the national parks! The trio of cats greeted us right away and turned out to be the sweetest little hosts. The views were beautiful, but the night sky was the real highlight. It was the clearest view of the galaxy we’ve ever seen. The location couldn’t have been better. It made a convenient halfway point between Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon, with the Coral Pink Sand Dunes less than 20 minutes away and a market nearby for groceries.Something minor worth mentioning for future guests. The shower head was angled in a way that let some water splash out when sliding the door open. It’s a bit stiff to adjust, but easy enough once you get the hang of it. We gave the hosts a heads-up in case they hadn’t noticed, so it wouldn’t turn into a bigger problem over time. They responded right away and offered solutions, which we really appreciated. The water also has a faint copper smell, though we noticed it in Las Vegas too. From what we read, it likely comes from the mineral-heavy water common in this region. After long days of hiking, we always looked forward to coming home to relax and have dinner with the cats under the stars. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the hot water and plenty of blankets kept us cozy on the chilly nights. We’re so glad we chose this place for our first national parks trip, and we’ll definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
