The cabin was very clean and was in a quiet neighborhood. The only thing we didn’t like was the twisty roads with no guardrails getting up to the property. It was very scary. I love the fact that it was so pet friendly.
We did not stay. When we arrived we found the cabin filthy and it smelled real bad. No cell service. Left immediately. After driving 12 hours to get there we were exhausted and had to find an alternative place to stay. We where in unfamiliar territory and in the dark. Was an awful experience.

I am not sure what this woman’s agenda is. Her charges are patently untrue. We repainted the interior and did a lot of other work to our guest house prior to listing it on VRBO. We also purchased some new furniture, mattresses, bedding, and towels.
she would have been the first guest to stay there since we listed with VRBO. However, numerous friends came different weekends as a test run to make sure everything was up to snuff and everyone liked it. They liked the setting. They liked the coziness of the cottage and they had no complaints.
On the day that she was supposed to check in I sent her a message that since she would be arriving after dark, I would turn on the porch light & some lamps and some lamps inside and leave the door unlocked for her convenience. I also put in that message that as soon as she got there, she needed to log onto the Wi-Fi (I gave her the password) and set her phone to Wi-Fi calling.
My house is next-door. The house that is being rented is the guest house. I awoke later and she was trying to get into my house. I went out on the porch and said no you’re staying next-door and I pointed to the house. Then my dog walked outside and she she asked if the dog was friendly and I said yes she is she said well mine is too, but she’s really big and I said you didn’t book it for a dog because there is a pet fee and she kind of huffed and turned around and walked away. in the next few minutes two women this is the woman who came up on the porch and another woman who supposedly is her daughter carried several tote bags into the house. I turned off the security cameras and I went to sleep. Two days later, I saw a message that they had not stayed because the house was dirty and the locks didn’t work so they left because of their safety. I went through the house and the only thing I could find objection is that the Cleaner had left a damp hand towel in the bathroom. There were also numerous other bath towels, hand towels, washcloths that were hanging folded and freshly washed. The locks on the house are brand new. I had no trouble locking or unlocking them. A neighbor came over and walked through the house at my request. She did not find anything objectionable as far as cleanliness, and she also did not have any trouble locking or unlocking the doors.
Apparently, this woman had an issue where she was going to sneak her dog in and not pay the pet fee and was upset because I mentioned that there was a Pet fee actually though I wasn’t even going to deal with that right then because I was sick and I didn’t feel well. I just wanted to go to sleep.
Then she called. VRBO made a lot of accusations and wanted her money back. I gave a full refund. VRBO does not refund fees and taxes but all the money I would’ve gotten for her rental was refunded. I have received no money on this.
Again, I do not know what this woman’s agenda is. It is a shame that someone like her can just throw a tantrum for no apparent reason. The only reason I can figure is that she didn’t want to pay the Pet fee. And she was mad that she was discovered trying to sneak the dog in.
