About this property
Creekside Fairytale Cottage-Hot Tub-Cozy Fireplace
Situated on the banks of Spring Creek in the charming mountain town of Hot Springs, NC, The Stone Cottage is a beautifully crafted post-and-beam retreat featuring natural stone and cedar shake details. Designed as a peaceful escape for couples, this creekfront cottage blends comfort, privacy, and natural beauty in every season.
The Stone Cottage sleeps two and features a spacious loft bedroom with a king-size bed. The open-concept main level includes a cozy living area, small dining space, and a fully equipped custom kitchen with everything needed for preparing meals at home. A gas fireplace anchors the living space, providing warmth and ambiance during cooler months. The downstairs bathroom features custom tilework, and during warmer seasons guests can enjoy the enclosed outdoor shower for a refreshing, spa-like experience.
Step outside onto the large wraparound deck, which spans two sides of the cottage and offers the perfect place to relax, listen to the rushing creek, and observe local wildlife. The private jacuzzi tub sits right on the deck with unobstructed views of Spring Creek below. Steps lead down to the creek bank for exploring, though accessibility may vary depending on water levels.
During warmer months, guests have access to one of the best swimming holes in the area located directly below the cottage, and Spring Creek is also well known for fishing. The swimming hole and creek bank are shared with the neighboring Creek House.

About the host
Hosted by Hot Springs Getaway
Originally from Charlotte, our family moved to town in the late 1990s after our yourgest daughter found Hot Springs and asked us to vacation here as her college graduation gift. When we were there we became enamored with a property that we lovingly called the Mountain Magnolia Inn. Believe it or not we had to bush whack up to the front of that house to find an 1800s, single story, Victorian home. Then and there we decided we wanted to purchase that property and restore it as a bed and breakfast. Soon after purchasing that property we moved to Hot Springs, and the rest is history.
Why they chose this property
My family lived for years in the Creekhouse next door. We built the Stone Cottage on the property so that our family and friends who live out of town could have a place to stay while visiting. We hired a local builder and crafts people to help us to bring this little dream cottage to life. We still host family in both of the houses, but have since moved a little ways out of town towards Max Patch.
