About the host
Hosted by Audrey Richardson

We’re Reid and Audrey Richardson, lifelong Vermonters who are proud to call Hartland and Colchester, Vermont home. We have small family farm where we carry on the tradition of raising jersey cows for milk, and carry on the traditions of Vermont’s agricultural heritage. We are part of the Cabot Creamery Coop a brand found commonly in Vermont food stores. One of our favorite parts of farm life is our maple syrup operation, where each spring we tap our trees, boil the sap, and produce pure Vermont maple syrup. It’s a labor of love that connects us to the land and to the seasons. In addition, Audrey teaches and researches at the University of Vermont in the department of Education. Little Red was her first “work hut” allowing her a safe cozy place to land when working away from farm and family.
When we’re not on the farm, we enjoy getting away to Lake Champlain. Hosting on Airbnb allows us to share this little slice of lake life with our visitors. Whether you’re here to explore the outdoors, experience local culture, or simply relax, we hope you’ll feel right at home.
