Ojai Valley East End Chic Ranch Home: Views, Nature, 8' hot tub, Big, 2 bedrooms
Wake up to the Topa Topas and soothing Ojai valley views, watch Ojai's famous "pink moment" light up the sky at dusk from our generous patio or large redwood hot tub, then fall asleep under beautiful starry nights far from city light pollution. Set on 2 quiet acres in Ojai's East End — a rural pocket of orchards and horse properties — our spacious, light-filled ranch home is surrounded by a fragrant, thriving organic citrus and avocado grove, with wraparound valley views from nearly every room.
We love this home, and we hope you'll feel its therapeutic effect the moment you arrive. We've done our best to make this property a true retreat: bright, eclectic, carefully curated spaces designed for slowing down.
**On the property, you'll find:** - Clay court tennis - Redwood hot tub - Indoor fireplace + luxurious outdoor fire pit - Ping pong, cornhole, tetherball - Hammocks scattered in the shade - Wraparound porch with sweeping valley views - Picnic tables and outdoor dining under the stars - Children's swings - BBQ grill - Tesla 240V charging outlet (bring your own cord) - Hundreds of mature fruit trees, free for the picking - A few beautiful, flat spots for pitching a tent, if you want to sleep under the stars
**A cleaner way to stay.** We're committed to a natural, non-toxic home: organic mattresses, bedding, and towels, biodegradable shampoo and dish soap, and a whole-house water purification system so drinking water is genuinely pure and shower/bath water is filtered. All cleaning is done with water, vinegar, and phthalate-free laundry detergent. No harsh chemicals, anywhere.
**Location.** We're tucked into the quiet far end of the East End, a short walk from the Krishnamurti Foundation of America and an easy drive to Ojai's other landmarks: - 5 minutes to Thacher School - 7 minutes to Meditation Mount and Ojai Valley Upper School - 8 minutes to downtown Ojai - 9 minutes to four public pickleball courts, open play daily - 6 minutes by bike (3 by car) to Boccali's Pizza & Pasta, our favorite neighborhood spot
Prefer to walk or bike? Downtown Ojai is a scenic 15-minute ride (a steeper climb on the way back), and the Krishnamurti Center is just 15 minutes on foot.
**Privacy, with a host nearby.** This is a permitted Homeshare with Ventura County, licensed for legal short-term rental in Ojai. You'll have full privacy in your own space, with assistance close by and available if you need anything.
**A few house notes:** This is a shoe-free, smoke-free home — we ask that you leave shoes at the front door. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask for quiet after 10pm.
We can't wait to share our little corner of Ojai — and its pink moments — with you.

My family had a wonderful stay in Ojai. This house has everything: places to lounge, tangerines to pick, hot showers, and comfortable beds. I look forward to my next visit.
We had a wonderful time! The house and grounds are lovely, peaceful, and had everything we needed. The host was helpful, friendly, and the house was clean and well appointed. It was the perfect getaway from L.A.!

I was honored to host Julie and her family reunion and to accommodate all the moving parts including XL vehicles. I was thrilled to see that Julie shared with me that "they were having so much fun!" And that they "love your house and property!" And wanted to change their itinerary to extend their stay. I am sorry I could not accommodate a longer stay beyond their original 12 days. I look forward to their promised return!
We had such a wonderful stay here. The property was above and beyond all expectations. Spacious, clean, incredible grounds and gardens, right in Ojai.
It was a treat to experience all Ojai has to offer and return to our home away from home each evening!
What a wonderful property with fruit trees and a tennis court. Our family enjoyed the stay here. The home is spacious with two sitting rooms and three bedrooms. The host was available throughout the stay. The location is a few minutes drive away from restaurants and shops. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation.
This bohemian inspired home is the ultimate getaway to connect with peace and tranquility. The majestic trees and views are breathtaking. The house has a spacious living room and a very nice layout. It has a colorful, collected vibe.
We stayed for a work retreat & chance to explore Ojai. House is so charming & artfully decorated. We all commented that, unlike so many vacation rentals, the house had soul. And a gas fireplace and so many little spots to enjoy outside, or do yoga inside. We loved pulling books from the massive collection in the living room and thumbing through. Just a delight!

Thank you Joeli, what a lovely review and appreciation of my home and property. I am so thrilled you enjoyed yourselves and your senses were satiated and delighted. I look forward to your return and hope my home will be your annual work retreat staple.
Caitlin's home and grounds are absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed her beautiful and eclectically curated home, 1970s wood hot tub, charcoal pit outside. Although we had no time to try the clay tennis court, ping pong table or medicine ball available, perhaps we will next time. Thank you Caitlin for making my son's birthday getaway such a fabulous memory.

I am so thrilled it was such a good birthday venue for your son and you! Warms my heart you all enjoyed yourselves so thoroughly, hopefully you can return to enjoy what you missed soon.
We are Ojai natives who came back with our kids to visit grandparents and spend time where we grew up. This house was the perfect home base - beautiful, spacious, well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable. Our kids had a blast playing pickleball and ping pong. Even better, they picked Ojai pixies from the orchard and made fresh squeezed orange juice for us every morning we were there! Caitlin and Willow were very responsive and ready to help with anything we needed, though the house is so well set up we really didn't need a thing. I highly recommend staying here. We definitely will the next time we come to town!
This is a great house for a family with teens. Outside there is a hot tub, tennis courts, ping pong table, swings, a fire pit and plenty of space to entertain. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of light. Regrettably the rains were so bad our outdoor time was limited. The kitchen was overly stocked. So full of plates and utensils that there was no place to put groceries. Suggestion there- go through drawers and closets to get rid of triplicates and quadruplicates. 60 pcs of everything is too much. The only thing we really wanted were chairs to get up and down from. All the furniture was very low and deep. Not great for seniors.

Hi Liz, Great point about the cupboards being full. Most of my guests stay for the weekend and come to Ojai to eat out, but I really appreciate your perspective for guests with longer stays. I will definitely clean out a cupboard in the kitchen for guest groceries. I am a collector of beautiful things so my dishes and glassware are abundant and populate the cabinets waiting to be shared.

We loved this house!
My family and I recently stayed at this lovely home for a small vacation. My children are 4 are 2 and we had the most delightful time playing on the tennis court, exploring the property, playing games and making meals in the house. The house exudes playfulness and our family loved all the quality time we were able to spend enjoying each other. We loved the bright colors and artwork in the house. It was a wonderful place to just hangout. We also explored Ojai during the day and enjoyed some local parks and restaurants. I see us staying at this fabulous home again! Also, Caitlin the owner was very responsive and helpful. Paul who let us in to the home and gave us a small overview was also a delight. Five stars for this fab rental!

thank you so much for your glowing review! I am thrilled you got so much out of your stay. I look forward to your family's return!
We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for. The views, orchards, outdoor spaces, and thoughtful touches throughout the home made it easy to relax. Our favorite moments were exploring the grounds and taking in the beautiful Ojai sunsets. We traveled with our 4 year old son, and he absolutely loved the property. From the swings and hammocks to the open space and fruit trees, there was always something for him to explore. It struck the perfect balance of feeling like a private retreat while still being just a short drive from downtown Ojai.Catie was a fantastic host. She was friendly, responsive, and generously accommodated an early check-in, which made a huge difference for our family. Communication was excellent before and throughout our stay.If you're looking for a peaceful home base to experience Ojai while enjoying the quiet beauty of the East End, we highly recommend staying here.

I love this home. It's my privilege to share it with discerning guests looking for a nervous system reset among the pixie trees. My hope is to share its therapeutic effect with all who visit and dwell here. We've done our best to make this home and property a retreat from the busyness and noise of everyday life. We're committed to keeping our drinking water purified and shower/bath water filtered. Bedding and towels are high-quality and almost entirely organic, as are the mattresses. Cleaning supplies are toxic-free and biodegradable. A Tesla charger is available — please bring your own cords and adaptors.
Why they chose this property
I crave sitting on my patio — the view and sounds immediately calm me and quiet the buzz of hectic city life. Before me is a majestic, expansive view overlooking a ridge bordering upper Ojai. When I discovered the East End and rediscovered Ojai ten years ago, it reminded me of a home my family once enjoyed for a momentous birthday celebration in Val d'Orcia, Italy. Here, all you need is time — a stack of good books and an enjoyable beverage — to bask in the beauty and tranquility of this valley. My home is a Ventura County permitted Homeshare.
What makes this property unique
What makes this home unique is the sheer range of ways to spend a day here without ever leaving the property. We have a private clay tennis court, a large redwood hot tub, an outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace, ping pong, cornhole, and tetherball, plus hundreds of mature citrus and avocado trees you're welcome to pick from. It's rare to find 2 acres this private in Ojai's East End, just steps from the Krishnamurti Foundation and minutes from Thacher School, Ojai Valley School Upper Campus and Meditation Mount, yet far enough from downtown to enjoy truly dark, starry skies at night. We're also a permitted Ventura County Homeshare, so you can book with confidence that this is a fully legal short-term rental in Ojai.
