Wonderful location. Secluded but not too secluded. The property has wild life that visits almost daily. There are deer, rabbit even a turkey. Fireflies each evening were a plus. The location is almost perfect. Close to West Jefferson, Lansing and not too far from Boone. Any questions we had were quickly addressed. Would definitely stay again.

We travel monthly with work and this is one of our favorite homes we’ve stayed at. It’s beautiful, peaceful and the layout of the home with the porch and yard gives plenty of space for everyone

An amazing property just minutes from everything in West Jefferson/Jefferson. Two king beds, a fenced in dog run, tons of games, and a fully appointed kitchen made out stay outstanding. Would gladly return if we come back to the area. Don is a wonderful host to work with, and was fast with any/all communication leading up to and during our stay. Thanks Don!

The house was wonderful. It was clean & well equipped for our needs. We had a wonderful time. The only drawback was the driveway to the cabin. It was very steep & narrow. My son’s car has a low clearance & he hit the bottom a few times. I would recommend 4wheel drive for future renters.

The place was easy to find and the host was very responsive. However, I don't like staying somewhere and finding scraps of food or dog hair on the floor. There was even scraps of food in the kitchen sink. There were dried coffee grounds left in the coffee pot and there were used k cups in the Keurig. It is evident that neither of these have been cleaned in a while. We had 3 washcloths left for a party of 6 people and we were told there was a washcloth shortage due to past guest stealing them. We were told we could use the hand towels instead of the washcloths. When we arrived at the home the air was set on 78 and the home had a musty odor. Most of this could have been avoided if the cleaning crew would have not rushed and done their job correctly. We paid 150 cleaning fee and the house was not properly cleaned. We did not have any problems with the host but the cleaning crew did not do a proper cleaning of the home.
