Zion Ranger Cabin is a cozy, pet-friendly desert getaway located in quiet Apple Valley, offering seclusion and comfort away from the crowds of Springdale—while still being within easy driving distance of Zion National Park. High-speed fiber-optic WiFi makes it easy to stay connected while enjoying a true desert escape.
Guests have full private access to the Zion Ranger Cabin, along with shared access to select amenities on the property. Free parking is available just steps from the cabin, with space for up to two vehicles. Trailer parking and overflow parking are also available.
You’ll have 24-hour access to the shared hot tub. Please be mindful of quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM so all guests can enjoy a peaceful experience.
Guests are welcome to use the gazebos, picnic areas, and fire pit spaces, with complimentary firewood and basic fire-starting supplies provided. Inside the cabin, we supply coffee, paper towels, basic toiletries, and essential conveniences.

We want you to have plenty of privacy and space to relax during your stay. While we are not always on-site, we live nearby and are available if you need assistance, have questions, or would like local recommendations.

Zion Ranger Cabin is located in quiet, rural Apple Valley, Utah—an area known for its wide-open desert landscapes, dark night skies, and peaceful surroundings. The property offers on-site walking trails with ancient petroglyphs and is close to Little Creek Mesa and Gooseberry Mesa for hiking and biking.
You’ll be far enough from Springdale to enjoy true solitude, yet close enough for convenient day trips to Zion National Park and other Southern Utah attractions.
This is a rural desert property, and guests may encounter wildlife such as lizards, spiders, birds, or other small critters during their stay. Friendly goats live on the property and may occasionally wander nearby. Feral cats are also present—please do not feed or pet them.
Cell service can be spotty depending on your provider, so we recommend saving check-in instructions before arrival. Weather-related power outages are rare but possible. The cabin is single-story with a few steps at the entrance.
Pets are welcome (2 well-behaved pet allowed with a flat fee). Pets must be leashed outdoors at all times due to wildlife and open land.
To keep the peace and safety around here, we kindly ask our guests to adhere to the following:
For safety reasons and cleanliness, smoking, alcohol consumption, shaving, and placing pets in the shared jacuzzi tub is strictly prohibited.
No smokin’ indoors (OK outside as long as you`re mindful of other guests around, please keep doors/windows shut and dispose of cigarette butts safely and without littering)
Don`t leave children unattended
Only use the designated private fire pit to make a fire, making sure it`s completely off after use.
No parties or large gatherings
Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Don’t leave food out — feral cats, critters will help themselves.
When ordering any food delivery, it`s the guests responsibility to keep an eye for it.
