Nestled deep in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, the property offers complete privacy—no neighbors in sight—just panoramic vistas of untouched natural beauty.

Set on a spacious lot, the home is surrounded by a large open yard, offering endless opportunities to spot wildlife while enjoying your morning coffee or an evening drink on the deck. The open-concept kitchen and dining space allow you to cook, dine, and connect with your group, while the bar and living area provide the perfect spot to share a drink and laughter.

Two spacious bedrooms on the lower level offer comfort and privacy. The master suite features a large bathroom with a vintage clawfoot soaking tub, a makeup vanity, and a private door to the outdoors—an unforgettable way to start your day before exploring the Buffalo River.

For guests who prefer additional privacy, the en suite studio apartment offers a special retreat—ideal for couples or individuals in a mixed group. The apartment includes it's own bathroom, washer/dryer, small living room (with an additional pull-out sofa bed), and a queen bed.

If you’re seeking tranquility, beauty, and a truly memorable stay during your Buffalo River adventure, Scenic Solitude delivers.

Host profile image
Hi! My name is Carolina Covington. I act as the host/manager for the property. :)

[My dad (Max), the owner, currently farms in Iowa. He discovered the beauty of the area while riding sidexsides with his Iowa friends!]

When I was young, my dad re-located our family farm twice! From MD to TN (raising tobacco/produce/hay and cattle) and then from TN to IA (where my dad and his fiancé primarily raise grain crops with some cattle).

I graduated ISU before heading out West for about five years, working as a white water raft guide in the summer and a dogsled guide in the winter. However, after stumbling into the psychology field, I currently work as a RBT doing behavioral therapy with autistic children!

I moved to Jasper in Nov of 24'! - As much as I loved the West, I couldn't resist my dad's offer for me to come back to the South! I really missed all the deciduous forests and small mammals! I truly adore the area and try to hike or get on the river every chance I get! :)

Moving here was also a great chance to have space for a garden! You'll likely see me out and about tending my plants (often with my dog Suski) in the yard or at the greenhouse across the street!
