About the host
Hosted by Kelly DeMott

I grew up in Newark Delaware but quickly realized I would prefer to live at the beach and I moved here permanently in the early 1990’s and by 2003 I became a realtor. I went to college to study art and I enjoy using my artistic ability to make this house really special. I live just a short walk away with my two daughters. I am available to show property as well if you fall in love with the area.
Why they chose this property
As you walk around town, you’ll notice that the Victorian era homes that line Federal and Union Streets I’ll seem to have their front porch decorated. I enjoy taking walks at night because you’ll notice the homes are lit up with porch lights and you can hear happy noises off in the distance.
What makes this property unique
Our favorite thing to do is to take walks at night in town because everything gets very quiet, all the porch lights are on and you feel like you are someplace very special.
Milton Delaware started out in the 1700s as a ship building town and the hand built ships were made right on the banks of the Broadkill river and launched into the Atlantic Ocean. As you walk past the Victorian homes on the way to dinner take note of the architecture because many of the homes were built by Dutch shipbuilders. Milton has a wide variety of Victorian architectural styles (more than your average town). There are sidewalks on every block and the residents of Milton do use them to get around town, especially in the evening. Kids still ride bikes outside here so please do watch your speed as you make your way through town. Milton is a truly special place and if you’d like to see property for sale, just let me know because I’ve been a local realtor for 22 years!
