SOME THINGS THAT SET THIS HOUSE APART…
SUPERIOR LOCATION We are ideally located on O'Brien Mountain, a highly sought-after area of the Shasta Lake region, with quick access to the widest areas of the lake, ensuring great opportunities for lake fun even when water levels are at their lowest, plus easy access to the nearby towns and cities. From our front door, you will be only 3-7 minutes from: the I-5, Holiday Harbor, Shasta Caverns, and popular public water access/boat launches/fishing and hiking spots. O’Brien Inlet, just below us, provides some of the very best bass fishing on the lake. You can also enjoy paved road all the way from the highway to our driveway.
AMPLE PRIVATE PARKING We have over 1600 sq. ft. of designated private parking space on the property, plus a 200+ ft. long driveway, plenty of room for multiple vehicles and your boats or other toys.
ENHANCED CONNECTIVITY We provide unlimited WiFi and a cell-phone signal booster to help you stay connected during your stay.
PEACE, PRIVACY, & GORGEOUS VIEWS Your only next-door neighbors are the deer, birds, and other forest wildlife. The house features an abundance of large windows, providing plenty of natural light and a restorative scenic view from every single room. Enjoy bird watching amongst the treetops, colorful sunsets, and incredible star-gazing all right from the living room couch if you like.
NEWLY RENOVATED Every room has been either fully or partially renovated and/or refurbished during 2025-2026. We’ve made great efforts to ensure Foxfell is more than just beds to sleep in, but also a combination of rustic charm and modern amenities that feels like home.

We do ask that you keep all pets off the furniture and beds, and that they not be left in the house un-crated and unattended for more than 2 hours at a time. Guests are fully responsible for any and all damage caused by the presence of pets.
FIRES & SMOKING POLICIES Because this house is located in a very high risk fire area, we are a little extra precautious with these policies. Thank you for respecting them and helping us to keep our property and neighbors safe from potential fire hazards.

About the host
Hosted by Michael Priebe
I am a TV/media professional, who enjoys: art, books, cooking, traveling, and light construction projects. I did much of the renovations and interior design on my rental myself. I now manage the home remotely from SoCal, but I have a fantastic local team. I feel very fortunate to be able to offer a place families and friends can form lifelong memories. As a single-property private owner, I am incredibly grateful to my guests for their support. I do my best to always be available to my guests to address issues, answer questions, and provide local tips when asked. Otherwise, however, I like to give my guests their privacy and the space to make themselves at home.
Why they chose this property
Nothing beats the scenic beauty of Shasta Lake and the Shasta Trinity National Park. Whether you're here for fishing or water sports or just to get some quiet relaxation, the environment is nothing short of magical. This house is located on O'Brien Mountain, one of the premier neighborhoods around Shasta Lake, known for its ideal proximity to popular local attractions, best bass fishing, favored boat rentals, and public lake access points. I chose this house because even with all of that and its convenient proximity to the I-5, it still feels as though it sits in a deep remote private forest. With forest land surrounding the property on 3 sides, and expansive nature views, it becomes very easy here to "get away from it all" without actually being cut off from anything.
What makes this property unique
This house has been a 4-year restoration project and a labor of love. It was once a jewel of the mountain, but had been neglected for some time before I purchased it. It was a joy, an honor, and a huge pain in the rear to restore the main house back to it's potential. I did much of the work myself, so I take great pride and pleasure every time a guest tells me how beautiful and comfortable it was for their stay. Eventually, I hope to do similar work on the smaller support structures on the property to further expand what we can offer to our guests. In the meantime, the main house has much to offer, including: incredible large windows throughout, tons of natural light, an exciting themed kids room, extremely comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, nostalgic vintage vibes, modern amenities, tons of privacy, immersive nature, an absolutely ideal location, and absolutely incredible views.
