Cozy Cottage - Minutes from Attractions!

Welcome to The Tarwater House! This cozy little cottage was built in 1946 by my grandparents and totally remodeled in 2013. It boasts lots of character and amenities for your convenience. Master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. All of the bedrooms are equipped with smaller TV’s and DVD players. The Living room is equipped with a Smart HDTV and wireless internet is provided for your stay. All TV's have ROKU's and we have Spectrum Apps - please click on the Spectrum App to stream cable TV. If you would like to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. login to your account, but make sure to logout before your departure.
The kitchen is fully equipped - stainless steel appliances, all dishes, cookware, crockpot, etc., are provided. An outdoor charcoal grill is also provided for your use. We have a large field that you are welcome to use for croquet, volleyball, bean bag toss, horse shoes, etc. There is an outdoor firepit with Adirondack chairs and you are welcome to to enjoy the Wicker deck furniture as well! This little cottage has everything you need and much, much more. Minutes from attractions and The Great Smoky Mountains.

Our rental house was perfect for our stay, we were close enough to get to attractions, but still far enough away to be so peaceful and tranquil. We were able to do laundry while away and therefore didn't have any when we got home. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic property. The house was a wonderful layout, great kitchen that was easy to use and had everything we needed for quick meals. The rooms were comfortable and exactly what we needed. The huge flat back yard was perfect for a game of soccer and wiffleball. Highly recommend the property for families.

This was our 3rd time staying on this property. Such a sweet place. Has great amenities for my elderly mother. Not many steps, handles in the bath. We even decided to stay an extra night and when I sent a message to the host, she messaged me back almost immediately. I love that this cottage is away from the traffic of Pigeon Forge but close enough to do all the things. We will be back next year God willing. We have found our place!

We were planning to camp all week but were rained out. I sent a message to owner late in the evening to see if there was room to park our tiny camper. She responded immediately and we moved our stuff the next day. The location is great. The house was spotless and equipped like a home. You can feel that this place has been well loved. Quiet perfect location

Very nice clean house. Perfect location for any events. We were here for Ponies in the Smokies but it is close to all the entertainment without the noise at night.

This cottage was built in 1946 by my Grandparents - Estle & Velma Tarwater. My grandmother's family lived in Elkmont & Tremont before The Great Smoky Mountain National Park was established. My mother and her sister grew up in this house. Although both have moved away from Sevierville they decided to keep the homeplace for the family - a home away from home. We hope you enjoy your stay!!

Why they chose this property

My brother, cousin and I spent two weeks every summer with our grandparents at this cute little cottage! We have wonderful memories here and hope you make memories for your family as well.

What makes this property unique

This cottage is nestled in a small, quiet area - away from most of the noise. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the peaceful mornings. We are located 7 miles from Pigeon Forge.
