Great location for a visit to Lassen Park. Lovely view of the woods and stars and conveniently located off the main highway and within easy driving distance to Chester for groceries and restaurants. We loved the covered porch and grill and the adorable birds nests. The baby birds were super cute.
This is a nice little cottage, out in the country. It is very basic. The beds are very hard ... not at all comfortable. There's plenty of room but no frills. The views and surroundings are excellent.
Nice clean place 20 minutes from Lassen. Plenty of room, no issues.

This home is in a remote location approx 30mins from Lassen Volcanic NP (south entrance). It is a large house with expansive kitchen area and an outdoor eating area.During our stay there was no WiFi and the TV did not connect to satellite dish. There are 3 beds but only one bedside table.

Great location to hike Devil's Kitchen, and kayak in the surrounding reservoirs. Birds nests visible from the kitchen, and master bedroom. The birds were amazing to witness in their daily routines. The backyard was a beautiful scene of pines, mountain ridges, and a collection pond with great sounds of water flowing. (The front of the cottage faced a trailer and had road noise).
Advertise wifi did not exist, when I texted host for information I never got a response. 25 minutes to the park entrance...huge house... very nice

Good location. 30 minutes from the entrance of Lassen Park. Communication non-existent. Wi-Fi did not work nor satellite/cable. Property was not ready and I’m wondering if our reservation was anticipated.

Leo and his brother were super helpful every time the power went out. The house itself is extremely spacious and views from the kitchen and outdoor porch were very nice. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired and odor from the propane tank could be smelled in the bedroom. The kitchen was beautiful but not well equipped (bowls, pans- there were plenty of pots, scissors....) and you had to know what could be plugged in with what other appliance or the power would go off!! We envisioned a large family enjoying this house as there were several sleeping areas and a super huge living room where blow up mattresses could be done.

It was nice stay. The property has a pond and little creek running through the green field with flowers. It was pleasant to have dinner at the patio overlooking the creek. Well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer available for guests. We arrived late, around 6 pm, but the house was not ready. The host apologized and suggested few restaurants at Chester. We had to wait for another 1,5 hr while the place will be ready. The bathtub has drainage problem. Windows have a lot of spider webs and dead flies. Very convenient if you visiting Lassen park.
Due to limited availability in the area, this residence was booked. The house was filthy. I had to ask the home owner to mop and vacuum. (and still not done successfully) One shower was completely clogged with hair and could not be used. The house smelled like a bug bomb when entering and by the end of the first day, large ants were everywhere in the kitchen.
It was hard to find to start. Wifi didn't work, toilet with poop hadn't been flushed, bathtub had black hair around the drain and spiders, black ants in the kitchen. For what I paid, I certainly expected this to be much better. Would not reccomend.
The place is clean and cozy and the property manager was attentive and available (not that we needed much). It has all the basics and we had no problems settling in. There's a nice covered deck area around back which is great for coffee and bird watching in the AM. It's 20 mins to Lassen and 10 mins to Chester which is the closest town with amenities like gas and groceries. Definitely recommend.
We enjoyed our time at this property. It was just as described, and had everything we needed. It was nice having room to spread out and it was a beautiful area. A great place to stay while visiting Lassen National Park.

Excellent location for a vacation house, if you want to explore the Lassen Park and Lake Almanor area.
The house amidst forested mountains is the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The sound of a little creek running by is peaceful and soothing. It is close to the South West Entrance of Lassen National Park, Warner Valley, and Lake Almanor. The place is clean and safe, and you the owner is very accommodating. Would come to stay anytime!
Perfect spot for a winter trip to Lassen. There were just two of us, but it could have easily fit 6 people.

Cute, quiet, and simple.
We rented this place to go snowshoeing for the weekend at Lassen National Park during February. The property was ok, it’s behind the owners home and a closed down hotel. It wasn’t terribly dirty but definitely needed some deeper cleaning. Not enough space heaters and it got real cold during the night. The kitchen was not stalked with basic cooking things, luckily we came prepared. I message the owner for a 1hr late check out but never got a response. I wouldn’t mind staying again, even though i wish we felt free to explore the property since it’s in a beautiful forest.
