About this property

Minutes to Niagara Falls State Park

Located in a lovely area of Niagara Falls, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is located only 3.3 miles from Niagara Falls State Park.

The master bedroom with attached bath is located on the first floor and has a king bed. The other two bedrooms are located on the second floor. One of the rooms has a queen bed with a small sitting room attached that has a twin bed for an extra guest. The other bedroom has a double bed. The other full bathroom is on the second floor.

On the first floor in addition to the master bedroom, is the kitchen, living room and dining room, and back hallway that leads to a screened in porch and the back yard.

The house, built in 1920, is in the Deveaux area of Niagara Falls, a beautiful residential neighborhood, situated near Niagara University. The house is a 10-minute walk to the Whirlpool and Devil’s Hole State Parks and a 10 min. drive or 20 min. bike ride along the Gorge to the Niagara Falls State Park. Lewiston is also a short drive up the parkway and has many cute shops and nice restaurants.

The house is most easily accessed by car but the NFTA buses do run along Lewiston Road which is on the corner and goes to either Lewiston or to Niagara Falls.

The house has wi-fi throughout. There is a SmartTV and DVD player in the master bedroom, but there is no cable (we do have an interior antenna for broadcast channels). There is a driveway for you to use to park your vehicle. Pets will be considered.

Fenced in back yard nice for our dog. Would have liked a couple more bath towels since laundry not available on site and the laundromat down the street did not look very inviting. Overall, house and location very good.

Absolutely great location! Near everything and a quaint little neighborhood. It was an old home from the early 1900’s so it’s got nostalgia, creepy floors, small bathrooms etc but absolutely charming. Was pretty clean and beds were okay. Would recommend!

Girlfriends’ Niagara Falls Trip

Had a beautiful time seeing the Falls, Whirlpool Park, and Old Fort Niagara with my family and friends! We had lunch at Main Street Diner in Youngstown, NY and then had the best chocolate chip cookie ever at a quaint bakery in Youngstown, NY! And great sunny, blue skies weather each day of our 4 day getaway!

Its kind of funny because my cousins with us grew up in old homes and the creaking floors, stairs, etc reminded them of being scared as kids. But my husband and I love old homes, so we were thrilled with the woodwork and beautiful floors. The home was VERY clean and we appreciated that more than anything.

Excellent experience! The house and neighborhood are lovely. The fully fenced yard is dog escape proofed. Easy drive to Niagara Falls and Lewiston. 15 minute walk to a walk/bike path along the river. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

If visiting Niagara Falls beware gps will take you through unsafe area of downtown as shortest route from this house. House itself is in good neighborhood. We took a longer route (once we made this mistake) to avoid this again.

Nice property in quiet neighborhood. Wifi service wasn't that great, however. Enjoyed the back yard. Close to the Falls. Masterbedroom bed a bit uncomfortable for us older folk.

Great for a family near Niagara

Our family of six fit perfectly in this home that was 10-15 minutes from American side of the falls. Easy parking and safe neighborhood. House is just what you need for a few days stay.

Carroll spent most of her career in Human Resources but gave it all up (darn) to open a hostel in Niagara Falls- leaving the wonderful California weather behind but gaining a wonderful husband. Andre is from Germany and we found each other here! We have since expanded from the hostel and added a couple vacation rentals to our endeavors. We think they are a great alternative to a sterile hotel - more like home away from home.

Why they chose this property

The Whirlpool Cottage is in the nicest area of Niagara Falls where visitors can feel relaxed and secure in their home away from home.

We are fully permitted and certified by the City of Niagara Falls that we meet all building and fire codes required to operate a vacation rental. Many listings in Niagara Falls are not legal, so be careful. Keep your family safe and be sure to book with those operators that can show you their permit and certificate of occupancy.
