▶ Neighborhood Description
Quiet East End neighborhood with oak-lined streets and Victorian-era historic homes — yet only 4 blocks to the beach, 5mins to the Strand, UT Medical Center and cruise port. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, cruise vacation, or family trip, this peaceful yet central neighborhood offers the best of both worlds: quiet, residential comfort with easy access to Galveston’s beaches, dining, nightlife, and attractions.
▶ Parking:
Free street parking directly in front of the house (no driveway parking available). Usually plenty of street spaces available, but may be limited during special events. City does not permit RVs, boats, trailers, or oversized vehicles to park on the street.
▶ Property Layout & Shared Spaces/Amenities
You'll have the entire bungalow to yourself. The back porch deck with the BBQ and Adirondack chairs is a shared outdoor space that may also be used by guests who may be staying in the separate Guest Cottage (Shamrock Cottage). The Cottage is a completely separate unit with its own private entrance. Two bicycles are also available for shared guest use between the two homes, so availability may vary depending on occupancy. Each property also has one beach wagon and two beach chairs for guest use.
▶ Minimum Age to Book:
We require the booking guest to be at least 21 years old and actually be staying at the property each night of the reservation.
▶ Historic Home:
This is a lovingly restored circa 1903 property—expect a blend of old-world character and modern updates.
▶ Beach Access:
The home is a short drive (or a 4 block walk) to the Seawall and Galveston’s beaches.
