A fantastic place set within a forest domain. Comfortable and safe. The fire pit was a highlight and the animals that visit a nice bonus.

Held a local fishing tournament in the general area and this place offered a great location, comfortable beds, nice and clean, bonus was plenty of space for or truck/boat/trailer set ups.
We had everything we needed at the house for our fishing trip , the stainless cleaning table, freezer and water hose handy to clean and freeze our catch,

Ron and guests came for a week of fishing Walleye on the Saginaw Bay! They are welcome back anytime, they followed all the house rules, communication was good! Hope to see you again soon!

Truly a anglers retreat, off the beaten path enough, yet close enough to conveniently get anything we needed, not to mention being close to Saginaw bay. Worked out perfectly for us.

Great guests, looking forward to hosting his fishing group again! Took really nice care of our home and property!
My family truly enjoyed our week long stay at Jeff’s cabin. We would not hesitate to stay there again. My grandkids enjoyed being able to roam in the woods with no fears (being from FL, we have snakes and critters to worry about). This house is well stocked.

Jill and Her family were wonderful guests, we are pleased that you all enjoyed our vacation rental home. We look forward to hosting you again in the future. They treated our home like it was their own! Left the home very tidy and did a load of towels before they left, much appreciated.
This house and property was such a slice of heaven! Between the many trees to put up a hammock, the pond with the gazebo, and the many acres to explore, this place had everything. Our group of four was there to celebrate a birthday. We had a chance to relax, but also got to find a love for foosball! We played many games and got way to competitive and had so many good laughs. It was what we all needed!
We were impressed by the setting and landscaping. The pond was great and the screened in gazebo was the cherry on the top. The firepit and sidewalk had brand new concrete. This place had everything and more. It was simple and not overdone. We were able to relax and enjoy the nature. We saw turkey hens and their babies a few times. Boat launches are less than 20 minutes. We had no concerns with leaving our boat and equipment in the yard. We will definitely be back, the setting is peaceful, private and safe.
The property has potential but,
we will not go back. Reached property after 8 pm, first thing you experience going inside was dark musty smell, HUMID, and 85 degrees inside. Turned on the lights and all you see through out the house is old stained carpet. So my significant other and I were sitting at the kitchen table trying to figure out if we were staying and we heard scratching from behind the refrigerator. We should have left but we had drove 4.5 hours to get there and had been up since 430am. We reluctantly stayed and left by 1030am the next morning.
Our family absolutely loved staying at the Anglers Retreat Property. It really exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect getaway. We Really Enjoyed the beautiful scenery, pond, and super clean home with everything we needed at out disposal. Kids really enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles in the pond. Lots of privacy. Jeff was a great host and super helpful. We will definitely be back again!
Had an amazing few days relaxing in the beautiful house and enjoy the peacefulness and quiet. Was a very relaxing place to go to at the end of a busy day. Will definitely be recommending and hopefully returning ourselves!
We loved our stay! Smooth check in, fantastic communication with Jeff, sparkling clean home, we’ll stocked kitchen, beautiful property. Just perfect for our weekend away. Thank you Jeff!!
This rental was just what my husband and I needed to get away from all the craziness. Everything was so clean. We felt right at home and welcomed. The property is so beautiful and well taken care of. We hope to go back again someday.
Great property, perfect for a family to hideout and spread out. Kids loved feeding the fish and turtles.

The site was beautiful wooded 20 acre location hidden in the woods. Loved the flow of the home perfect for family events or just getting away from home. Couldn't Fish due to restocking fish, but had fun looking at deer, going on nature walks through the woods and roasting marshmallows under the stars

Why they chose this property
I purchased this home from my family estate, My parents built this earth home in the mid 1980’s and lived there until 2017. We have decided to rent this property out in 2018 to help defer the cost of owning it. We deer hunt the property in the fall and is our hunting camp. We are currently doing some property improvements as money and time allows. We would like to welcome you to our home, please treat it as if it was your own. Enjoy your stay.
What makes this property unique
On the 20 wooded acres is a pond with a screened in gazebo, fishing is not allowed at this time in the pond, pond is in a restocking phase. There is also a fish cleaning station to process your Saginaw Bay Walleye catch and a deep fryer is available for your use to fry up your catch. We also provide a gas grill for your cook outs use.
