This super clean, renovated home is a great place for a family vacation, a relaxing weekend, or a girls' getaway. The home is on a large waterfront lot, where you can enjoy views of the Palo Pinto Mountains and beautiful sunsets from the wraparound porch year ‘round.
Cozy in the winter, cool in the summer, the home sleeps 6 comfortably, with a king bed, a queen bed, and twin bunks. The twin bunks are in a room adjoining the master. All have new pillows and bedding. The baths have been recently renovated with custom tile and new fixtures. There is a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, new fridge, and a gas grill outside.
The large covered porch includes new outdoor chairs with plush cushions, a bistro table, and island wicker furniture with bright comfy cushions. Grill and chill while you take in gorgeous views of the Palo Pinto Mountains and gorgeous sunsets most nights.
Sunset Point is a small but comfortable home and not suitable for more than 6 people. Great for families.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load the dishwasher
Take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please use only 1 can. The 2nd can is for the next guest. When you check out, put your trash bags in and roll it to the gravel road.
Put it between the neighbors’ gravel driveways, across from the metal storage container. It can’t be placed under the tree. Please make sure it’s closed tight so critters can’t get into it.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No guests of guests allowed unless approved by owner. No pets. No smoking. Please don’t use neighbor’s dock.
Any water activities are entirely at your own risk. Life jackets required if using our equipment. Water shoes recommended on shoreline.
PK often has a burn ban due to weather conditions. Please check with the PK Chamber of Commerce before lighting any kind of fire.

We visited for a Rocker B tournament. The location was close to the facility. We are just sad that it was such a short stay and we didn’t get more time at the property. It’s a beautiful location and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and while it was described as small, it’s very comfortable for a family of 6. The kitchen is the smallest part and probably the only place I felt where the home was smaller. But the rooms, living room area and restrooms were very comfortable.

Fun weekend lake trip

Nice property and house on a quiet part of the lake. The house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed paddle boarding and swimming along the shore, which was a shallow grade and soft bottom into the lake. The wraparound porch is awesome to watch the sunset. Would definitely stay again.

Always a great time (returning guests)

This was our 2nd time staying at this house because we had such a great time the first time. The location is amazing, 2 sides face the lake with wrap around porch on both sides, extremely comfortable beds, and so many things to do during the day. And the owners “The Mayo’s” are such genuinely nice people that you feel it throughout your stay. We will no doubt be back again.

Lovely Lakehouse with Gorgeous Sunsets

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable lake house. The sunsets were breathtaking and beautiful. Possum Kingdom lake was a mere feet from the door. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend watching geese, deer, birds, and more roam around the open area. What a treat!

Lake Vacation

This house was the perfect size and right on the water. Gorgeous view, quiet part of the lake. We had such a great time. We swam, fished and used the canoe they have! Convenient location to other amenities like the local store, some restaurants and boat rentals. We will definitely be back! Only downside was mosquitoes, but that was poor planning on our part.

Why they chose this property

Our grandad fell in love with Possum Kingdom Lake when he first visited more than 60 years ago. When we first visited we fell in love with it, too. Located in a northern extension of the Texas Hill country, Possum Kingdom Lake is famous for its Hell’s Gate, formed by magnificent cliffs that rise out of the water, where the Red Bull Cliff Diving events have been held. You have a great view of the Palo Pinto Mountains from our beautiful porch. The beauty and history of this area is amazing. We love our little slice of heaven here on this beautiful lake.

What makes this property unique

Super clean, renovated waterfront home that won't break your budget. Not a condo or multi-unit cabin. This Eastside Possum Kingdom waterfront area is closest to the D/FW metroplex, so it’s convenient for a quick getaway. Popular for ladies’ getaways, the fun and chic Fabulous Finds store is just around the corner! The town of Graham is a short drive and a fun destination to visit, as is the locally famous town of Mineral Wells, where you can tour the Crazy Water facility and buy the delicious PH-balanced Crazy Water. The views of the lake and the Palo Pinto Mountains from our large wraparound porch are some of the prettiest in Texas. This area is often referred to as a northern extension of the Texas Hill Country. When you see this view you’ll know why.
