Enjoyed the cabin on the hill with the ocean view. Reminded me of the cabin we had in Netarts Oregon when I was as kid. Lot's of wildlife nestled in the woods. Quiet and relaxing.

House could use a better cleaning. Kitchen could use an upgrade, stove and utensils, baking pans. Mattress pad is torn and needs to be replaced. Yard maintenance could be better.

This is a charming house for a couple and can accommodate a few children, who'd have a blast climbing the spiral staircase to a loft, where lots of books can be found in ample reading space, including the portion of the loft right by a large window with ocean view, with comfortable rocking chairs, as well as two additional twin beds. The woodwork finish and other details pleasantly remind the guest that this is a coastal vacation home. It looks humble from the outside, with a cozy and welcoming interior, lots of books and plenty of room for reading, everywhere. Situated on a hillside and almost entirely shielded from distant neighboring houses, it is far enough from Hwy 101 to shield from noise yet close enough to get back on the road when needed. Quiet, nearly secluded, with beach access by a 10 mins walk down King St. to a private short trail to the beach, where you can cross over a small stream to Agate Beach. In keeping with the bookworm spirit, there is no TV, so bring you own equipment for a movie night. Well equipped kitchen and all other amenities that you'd expect (sans a dishwasher). My wife and I had a fantastically relaxing stay and definitely recommend this jewel to other travelers!

The host was very responsive and kind. But the fact that there are cameras mounted in the house (Kitchen and BEDROOM) is so NOT okay! Very intrusive whether covered by a paper towell or black tape! Super creepy. And beware if you walk down to the path to the secret beach. there is a weird, cigar smoking guy, that has a brown lab and he has the dog rush at you and bark , growl and show its teeth like it's going to bite you while he just idly stands there not saying a word and just laughing. SUPER creepy. We won't be staying there again!!!!!
