The Space:

This charming cabin tucked into the trees has everything you and your pups need for a relaxing, rural retreat. After a day at Garrison Lake or out on the Pacific, come back to take advantage of the outdoor shower to easily spritz away the sand.

Slide open the glass doors and you'll be in the main room, featuring a comfy sitting area, dining table, and kitchen with warm wooden countertops and a natural stone backsplash. With windows on both sides, you'll be able to enjoy the view, either cooking or doing the dishes. At night, stream your favorite shows on the TV, play a board game, or step outside onto your deck - your choice of front or back - and watch the stars rise over the treetops.

We loved this place! The house was welcoming and clean. We loved “working from home” on the deck looking over the ocean. The house feels secluded but is only 2 minutes from shops, restaurants, and the beach (bonus points for a beach full of agates!) We’d totally recommend this place to friends and look forward to visiting again.

Thank you, Emma, for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We're thrilled to hear that you found the house welcoming and clean, and that you enjoyed working from the deck with that stunning ocean view. It’s great to know you appreciated the balance of seclusion and convenience, especially being so close to shops, restaurants, and that beautiful agate-filled beach. Your recommendation means the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for another stay.

Once we got into the house, things went alright. However, the address is not compatible with Apple or Google Maps, both of which tried to navigate us to an impenetrable hillside. Turned out there was an unmarked gravel road to access the property that wasn’t made clear in the listing or communication. I received multiple messages that were supposed to have a code to get inside, but none actually included a code and I had to request it specifically. The code I received, and information about where the lockbox with the key would be, were completely incorrect. I was told the lockbox was on the garage across from the front door, but the property has no garage on site. Thankfully, the number for the property management company was included in a message and I was able to call. That person had some trouble but was eventually able to provide a completely different code (from digits to format) and I could access the key in the lockbox I found. Inside was mostly as advertised. The bathroom smelled like mildew and had a dehumidifier that didn’t seem to work. The hot tub was quite nice.
