About this property

Welcome to this updated cottage with relaxing views of beautiful Bird Lake, known for its crystal blue water. Located just 30 minutes from Bracebridge, this property offers a true cottage getaway, yet it is a short drive from shopping, restaurants, and attractions in the Muskoka region.

Inside the spacious open concept cottage, there are panoramic views of the lake from both the open concept kitchen and living room. The floor to ceiling stone fireplace adds a touch of luxury to enjoy on the occasional rainy days or evenings curled up with a good book. Modern upgrades in this cottage include shiplap throughout, lighting, and new granite countertops. There is a wall mounted TV with satellite and plenty of books to keep guests entertained.

You will find a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of dining space inside and outside. The sliding doors off the dining area open onto a spacious deck where you’ll find a barbecue and comfortable chairs to enjoy an afternoon cocktail.

The main floor also consists of a full bathroom and a master bedroom with a queen size bed with plenty of closet space. The upstairs is a spacious loft area with a king bed. Also, the loft has a comfy third bedroom with a queen bed.

The waterfront is steps from the cottage where there is a fire pit, a large dock, and a picnic table.
The shallow sandy entrance is safe for children, and they can play for hours in the water while the adults can keep a close eye and lounge on the dock. The shallow walkout to the water gradually deepens for great swimming in clean and clear water. There is also a canoe and kayaks at your disposal to enjoy a leisurely paddle on the lake. The lake is known for good fishing Bass and Perch, and on the other side of the road, there is Bigwind Lake, where you can find more species of fish such as walleye and trout. Bigwind Provincial Park is near with plenty of trails.

Excellent Summer Sendoff

This is a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. The lake is very quiet and private, the walk-in sandy entry is really nice to have and there was great bass fishing right from the dock. The cottage felt very comfortable and private with all the amenities that you could possibly need. There are indeed lots of different birds at Bird Lake and we would love to spend more time here in the future.

Beautiful week with family

We had an amazing week of swimming, paddling, and enjoying the view from the dock. Jodi and Bryan were incredibly helpful and the cottage was perfect. Can't wait to go back!

Relaxing getaway

Lovely property on a quiet lake. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our hosts Jodi and Bryan were very responsive and available to answer any questions. Great for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing as well as just sitting back and relaxing. It is a bit of a drive off the main road but the roads are well maintained. Nearest town for grocery shopping is Bracebridge which is about a 30 minute drive one way. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice relaxing getaway.

Amazing time!!!

We had a great holiday. The cottage was clean and easy to use. The lake is quiet and the fishing was fantastic. Our kids had a great time. Communication with the owners was very good. We hope to return.
