Our stay was very good. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very good. The lounge and dining areas were also
very good. But the kitchen lets the place down.
If you give me a ring on 0408541484 I will explain our disappointment. I would give you a 5 star rating but the kitchen lets the place down badly.
The two houses were lovely and fitted the whole family of 11 (grandparents down to children.)
The main house, there are a few maintenance things (wardrobe knobs falling off, pictures fallen down sitting on the stairs.) The outside stairs were very awkward and needed maintenance attention.
The whole property was beautiful, the facilities were more than ample, and the management was very accommodating. Thank you.
property was misrepresented, with misleading photos, poor cleanliness, and non-functional facilities
I would not stay there again, we occupied 6 of the 7 bedrooms. No hot water in the main house. Aircon in 2 bedrooms wasn’t working. Kitchen was filthy. Location was the only positive.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience.
To clarify, the property operates on bottled gas due to the there being no gas lines in the area. During your stay, the primary gas bottle did run out. Our after-hours team guided you through switching to the reserve bottle, which restored hot water within approximately 10 minutes. We understand this brief disruption may have been an inconvenience, though most guests typically manage this process without any difficulty.
We regret that we were not contacted regarding any kitchen cleanliness concerns on your arrival or during your stay, as we would have promptly resolved them. Our housekeeping team takes great pride in maintaining high standards, and we certainly would have addressed this at the time had we been given the opportunity.
Regarding the air conditioning, the units in the bedrooms have been inspected and are functioning properly.
We feel it’s important to note that while your experience may not have fully met your expectations, your comments about the property not having hot water and air conditioning in multiple rooms are not reflective of the property’s standard condition or typical guest experience. We encourage future guests to reach out directly if any issues arise, as we are always happy to assist promptly.
Thank you again for staying with us, and we appreciate your input.

Disappointed
This stay was to celebrate my husbands birthday and Father’s Day with the family.
Due to the bush location and the house catering for a large group and lovely pictures it was decided this would be a lovely place.
Don’t be deceived by the glossy pics!
Unfortunately the residence was dirty from floors, cooking appliances and in general. Areas clearly had not had a good clean in some time.
I wiped down the appliances that were greasy and cleaned some of the drawers before the other guests arrived.
Not the welcoming shown in pictures with flowers or special touches.
Was happy to pay the expensive price for the weekend but bitterly disappointed.
Having said that the bedrooms and bathrooms had clean bedding and towels.
And as the weather was good we enjoyed the outdoors.
Im sorry I didn’t read the reviews before hand as I would not have picked this property.
Comments due to the cleanliness and general maintenance I would have seen if I had.
I have contacted the property manager and uploaded pics and they were very apologetic.
This property has so much going for it and I hope in the future care will be given to the details that leave a first great impression.
Great Location, amazing home for an extended family get-away
Really nice home with 7 bedrooms, all fitted with individual air conditioning. The home has a great location, town centre, waterfalls, walking trails, gardens and lookouts all within a short driving distance. We had 6 kids on the trip and did not need to entertain them too much thanks to the large property and basketball ring :)
We were seven couples , all close friends, who have travelled together before. This property was perfect for us in a lovely rural setting but close enough to both Glenlyon and the Daylesford township. We all enjoyed lovely bedrooms with king-sized beds, modern bathrooms and well-equipped kitchens. A BBQ and a large table and chairs, both inside and out that we all could fit around comfortably. I would highly recommend this property and we will probably visit again in the future. Interaction with the property manager was always very prompt.

Here are the facts
The owner is misrepresenting the property. The furniture is old and dirty, the house was dirty, one of the photos representing the bedroom was actually taken in the living room. Crockery and cutlery dirty, someone had to come and fix the shower, the door handle, ( came away from the door,) the heater blew out dust. We left the home cleaner than it’s been in a while in the kitchen. The high chair ordered beforehand came a day late and was covered in stuck on old food and the cleaner brought it and said “ yes it is dirty isn’t it” but left for us to clean. Enough said- not good enough and we won’t use Stayz again if this is representative of your properties

Hi Heather,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you feel you had a less than satisfactory stay but we are glad that every other review we have of the property has been 5 stars and it is booked every single weekend of the year.
Nicely furnished, cosy accommodation. Two houses allowed the older members of our group a sleep in while the toddlers & their parents were up early and playing in the other house. Spacious property gave opportunities for walking, although cold, drizzly weather curtailed any outside adventures

Great location, with lots of wild life. Easy check in and well set up houses.
Wonderful experience, enjoyed BBQing, playing basketball, and the sauna. Only needed to bring some kind friendly cups to make the stay completely comfortable for all.

The property is amazing and very well maintained. There are heaps of space to enjoy around the house, and its location is pretty close to the town too. We had a great time there, thank you!

Hoang was a pleasure to host at Cedar and Stone and we would happily welcome them back to stay with us again.
Lovely family holiday. Maybe an optional gate at the top of the stairs for overnight might be an additional safety benefit for families with young children like ours.
5 couples gathered for an annual reunion in this lovely well appointed property. It was a freezing weekend in July so the cosy wood heater was cranked up. Heating options in each of the two dwellings were ideal. Each bedroom was beautifully made up and ample bathrooms meant sharing was minimal. Although we had a little trouble working out the ovens, the kitchen was well equipped. Kangaroos grazed nearby in the mornings and the setting was serene and quite secluded. It was a perfect weekend and everyone loved their stay.

WOW... Just like the Pictures, maybe even better!
What a wonderful weekend away with my sister and her Gal pals for her Birthday weekend away. We Checked-in and didn't leave until Check-out we had everything we need plus more! Everyone raved at just how beautiful it was, and trying to take pictures but just wasn't doing it justice. Highlights - Spacious bedrooms with lovely white linen and furnishings, Beautiful modern appropriate finishings in all bathrooms, that just made you think...Wow how nice is this and finally it's nice to have a large property that sleeps 14 people, and with 'ALL' guest rooms having King beds/with option of king single.. none of this bunk-beds crap like most places.
Looking forward to taking away the hubbies /partners next time...we'll be back for sure!
Thanks Cedar & Stone Porcupine Ridge

A wonderful family holiday.
We had a wonderful holiday in this house with our family, eight adults and one child. We used both houses on the property, with two daughters and a son in law in the smaller one and the rest of us in the main house. Because the main house has plenty of living space we were easily able to cook, eat and spend time together. Another exciting bonus was the fireplace which required lots of chopping and fussing about by some of the men in the family.
We all enjoyed sitting in the house watching the kangaroos come down each morning and evening and also watching the birds, even the swooping magpies. The property is not far from Daylesford but on a very quiet road so it’s very peaceful. There are enough bathrooms for a bigger group, and our granddaughter loved the deep bath upstairs.
The fire pit was also a hit with everyone, with several evenings of toasted marshmallows and red wine.
We loved the house, and the area, and would happily return.
