This was the first time we had ever stayed in a yurt. Our hosts were gracious, accommodating, and took care of all of our needs. We loved the serenity and that our yurt was out of the hustle and bustle of the town.
The host was awesome. She was very accommodating. She gave us everything we needed. There was some remodeling being gone, but she took care of us. Definitely give her an AThe shops were about 4 miles away, but we knew the area so that was fine.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. I am guessing your “4 miles” was meant to say 4 blocks. Welcome back any time.
Nice but could have used more basic goods like towels, a mirror in the unit, and a more comfortable bed.

Hello, thanks for your suggestions. There use to be a mirror in the Nomad Yurt. I will find out what happened to it. Towels are stacked in the Bathhouse, next to your shower. A sink hand towel is provided in the unit. I will check on towel status.
ps. Tell Mary I was the one who “did not get an email with check in info”. Turns out I did under my wife’s email address. My bad.
Loved the yurt!!

Quirky yurt, but nice
Beautiful setting. The yurt was fine. We often put together our own meals and came prepared for the normal combo of microwave and maybe a coffee maker. So we were fine with that. The bathroom and shower in a separate building would normally have been fine, but my wife was recovering from knee surgery, so it was a bit of a challenge. The advertised washer was working but the dryer was not. We really liked the setting & the diversity of cabins, so would come back--but perhaps in a cabin with more amenities.
Very clean spacious, conveniently located to downtown and private. Mary awesome manager

Nice getaway
This yurt was tucked away in the backroads of Talkeetna! Not too far from town, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The owner communicates well and responds fast. Not the fanciest place to stay, but definitely worth the experience! Definitely recommend!
We loved the vibe of the yurt and everything else about it. It was clean, cozy, and comfy. I’ve stayed in yurts before, but never one with a television!
We really enjoyed staying in the yurt and if we are back this way will do it again. The property manager was amazing and so accommodating. We had a really early flight in and she allowed us to check in early so we could get some rest. Lovely property and town.

Hi Sharon, thank you so much for your kind review. We were so glad to be able to get you in early, especially after a long red eye flight with a child. Hope you enjoy the rest of your Alaska trip. Welcome back anytime.
Our first impressions when we got to the property made us a little nervous about staying, but once we spent a little time there and got a few fans blowing to cool it down it ended up being a very nice place. The bed was comfortable and there was more room than it seemed at first glance. The only real issues we had was finding it initially (it's tucked back in the property behind another cabin), and the lack of bathroom space (shared bath house). But overall it was a great stay and much cheaper than most other options around town.

So glad you had a comfortable stay. It is always a little nerve wracking staying in unfamiliar surroundings. Our small family campus is geared towards providing security, privacy with the option to mingle with other guests on the property if so desired. You were great guest. Welcome back anytime.

Fabulous Alaska hideaway.
We have stayed at various cottages and yurts over the years on this property and have loved it every time. Everything you need for a wonderful and relaxing Talkeetna vacation. Bonus is the walk to town location. We especially love the Round House, a new yurt. Thank you to the best hosts in the area. We will be back.

AMAZING!
I don't think there are enough words to explain the peace and beauty of this place. Mary and Marne have been so communicative from day one. Even on check in, we got a call making sure everything was okay! The yurt was perfect, nestled quietly off the "main road" in Talkeetna. There is a separate bathroom and shared kitchen that was so clean! The yurt was warm, dark, and quiet, everything needed for a good Alaska summer sleep. My ONLY regret was not staying here an extra night or two. It was absolutely perfect. We LOVE Talkeetna, and will definitely be back to stay here more :)

Beautiful room in gorgeous setting.
Newer building with several extras - like coffee & creamer in room. Some minor issues upon arrival which owner addressed quickly. Doors difficult to open and close. No comment on new sauna room as did not use.
