Vila da Praia Private Complex full Sky/BT Sports + UK TV & free WIFI
Superb top floor (2nd floor) 1 bed apartment (with additional sleeping in the lounge) within the finest complex of the beautiful & traditional fishing village of Alvor.
The accommodation briefly comprises of the following -
A fully equipped kitchen, inc.a full sized s/s oven/grill, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster & a whole host of utensils etc.
A fully tiled bathroom with full sized bath & shower, glass shower screen & curtain, WC, bidet, basin (within a large vanity unit), 110v hair dryer & plenty of storage for towels & toiletries.
A large & spacious lounge / dining area, incl. A/C unit, LED TV, a newly added dedicated TV box for all UK terrestrial channels plus the full Sky Sports package & BT Sports 1 & 2, a further cable TV set top box (with a large selection of English speaking channels as part of the standard Portuguese & European Zon package), plus hi-speed 100 mbs internet linked to our pre-paid unlimited wifi (more than quick enough to download or stream whatever you feel may be needed via your laptop or tablet for your comfort & ease), , a wall mounted electric 'Dust Buster' hand held vacuum, a full sized vacuum kept in the wardrobe, an L shaped sofa that easily converts to a double bed with bedding storage under, a 2 seater pull out sofa bed, dining table & 5 chairs, plus side tables & a storage unit with a library of books .
A double bedroom, bedside cabinets & sliding wardrobes which houses a digital safe & plenty of coat hangers (I know it sounds daft to state that, but better to be safe & save you packing them).
Our balcony gets the sun in the afternoon/evening, c/w a large yukka plant, table & chairs (fixed & reclining), clothes aire, all with great views of the estuary & village.
We also have a wardrobe in the entrance stocked with iron & ironing board, sun lounger cushions, a cool box, a yellow V da P approved sun brolley and other pool/beach related items all of which are provided for your use.
Towels / fresh linen service is provided on a weekly/bi-weekly basis or as specifically agreed at the time of booking.
Vila da Praia, Alvor is still a traditional, yet beautiful fishing village, which has a lovely harbour, cobbled promenade leading to a myriad of great laid back bars & restaurants.
It is a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing location with lovely sandy beaches & an old world charm all of its own.
Vila da Praia itself has a fabulous swimming pool and a children's pool situated in private gardens, secured by electric gates (both pedestrian & vehicular) & with decorative metal railing fencing to the perimeter.
The complex is centrally located to all amenities, it is a very child friendly environment, the grounds are beautiful, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, bars, leisure centre & the heart of the old town. A big bonus is that it is not on or up one of the large hills like most complexes in & around the village, so the walk in & around the village is a pleasure & not a chore.
The apartment is on the top floor & serviced by 2 lifts within 50m of the front door, so access is not a problem. This also extends to the underground car park where our allocated space is directly adjacent to the lift shaft, making the transferring of luggage & shopping as easy as possible.
Travel to/from the airport can be arranged through us or with local taxi firms in Alvor or Faro, the approximate costs at the time of placing this is somewhere in the region of 60 Euro per party of 4, 65 Euro for a minibus of 5+.
Car hire in Portugal is reasonably cheap, especially outside the months of July & August, but the beauty of Alvor & Vila da Praia is that a car is not required unless you want easy access to the larger out of town supermarkets or you want to explore the rest of The Algarve & all it has to offer.

Hello, we love Alvor & take pride in our apartment, updating it year on year & ensuring that it & you are connected to the modern world & have all your home comforts on hand.
We purchased it initially as our holiday home and for the odd let to family & friends, however, since then we, like most other people, have been affected by the credit crunch (or whatever today's name for it is), so decided to utilise Holiday-Rentals / HomeAway.
I can say that without exception the people that have stayed with us have all treated the place like it was there own & we thank them all for that & hope that that is a reflection of the people using this website.
We do extremely well with repeat bookings, & again, thanks go out to them.
We like to think that we have catered for all eventualities, but if you do have a special request & don't see it listed, please ask & we will endeavour to get something resolved that helps make your holiday more enjoyable.

Because we love it & hopefully the reviews back that up & hopefully, demonstrate that Alvor is a 365 day destination that works for all, whether it be families, couples or pensioners wanting an extended stay to avoid the harsh winters back home. Some of the best weeks we have had have been between October - March.
What makes this property unique
As they say on the TV - Location, Location, Location, with the added bonus that we do not treat this as a holiday let, we treat it as our home from home & have furnished/equipped it accordingly, updating the contents & decor year on year!!
