About this property
Stunning Luxury 5 Star SELF-CATERING Gate Lodge
May Lodge has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and Abbey Self-Catering
We have three 5 Star Self-Catering properties located in the grounds of a Grade II Listed Georgian residence overlooking Belfast Lough and our guests have private access to the promenade along the shore.
All 3 bedrooms are furnished with luxury hotel-quality Hypnos beds, mattress toppers, goose down duvets and luxury crisp white bed linen. Master Bedroom has large luxurious ensuite with a wet area which has a double head powerful gas shower. Fully-equipped kitchen, separate dining area and separate fully-equipped laundry room
There is ample dining space inside the property or guests can have access to a 'magical' pebble garden with pond which has a large slate table and seating. Access is across a private driveway beside May Lodge.
Easy access to Belfast City Centre (10 minutes by car or approximately 18 minutes by bus); Odyssey Arena (8 minutes); Titanic Exhibition (8 minutes); Waterfront Hall (8 minutes). Public transport - both bus and train within minutes of the property - with a direct link to the city centre.
May Lodge has particular sentimental value to the owner who named it after his Mother and coincidentally it was completed in May also.
Accommodation:
The Linen Room: King-size bed, views across main gardens to Belfast Lough with a spacious luxury ensuite with walk-in shower area and 2 head gas shower.
The Calico Room: A bright sunny room with a standard double bed
The Cotton Room: A delightful twin bedded room with views of Water Garden.
Bathroom: Refurbished. Electric shower over bath
Dining Room: Links directly of the sitting room and furnished with light oak furniture.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with luxury 'white' goods. Double oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave etc. Top quality cooking utensils.
Laundry Room: Fitted to match the kitchen with washing machine and separate tumble drier.

About the host
Hosted by Abigail White

We have been in the self-catering market in Belfast for 20 years and have many returning visitors. We live in the main residence which is a Grade II Listed Georgian house so are always on hand if we are needed.
Why they chose this property
May Lodge is very special as the proprietor designed and built this himself to replace the original gate lodge to the main residence. He named it after his mother.
What makes this property unique
We have public transport - both bus and train - within minutes of the property and this links with main train station and directly into Belfast city centre. We are half a mile from the end of the M2/M5 Motorway which links the whole of Northern Ireland. The lively and trendy Whiteabbey Village is only a short stroll along the shores of Belfast Lough and it has many cafes, restaurants, beauty salons and hairdressers.
