Amazing stay in Rapid City

We had an amazing stay at this home. Located in the rolling hills, a rural feel but close to both the city and all of the areas attractions. The property was very clean and we really appreciated the open space and view of horses and other wildlife while we were relaxing at the house.

This was a wonderful home to use while in the Rapid City area. Convenient to all of the national parks and monuments as well as Ellsworth AFB and Rapid City. The home was clean and morning coffee on the deck watching the rabbits, birds, and horses was an amazing way to start our busy days. I would highly recommend this place to families- a nice two story home with a yard so everyone can spread out and relax after a long day of sight seeing.

Very nice older home. It has been updated in places like the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner met us at check in and was available if needed, he lives up in the next house. Be warned, bring mosquito repellent, there is a small pond close by(house and land is part of a ranch). We slept 7 comfortably.

It was a very relaxing place to stay. Had everything we needed. Great proximity to Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Custer state park, and other points of interest. The only possible drawback is that the house does not have central air. It did have a wall unit and a window air conditioner in one of the bedrooms. We stayed in August and without central air the upstairs bedroom became warm. If we opened the windows in the evening it helped.

Kirk has a beautiful property, the only thing that I PERSONALLY didn’t like was the amount of insects at night😳 also the cleaning was not very good, or maybe they just forgot to vacuum the stairs because we found death moths on the them. But overall great house and confortable!!

Your party came in during the tail end of that period. Our cleaning crew would have vacuumed all flooring before your arrival but during that period we noticed moths would again accumulate between cleaning completion and guest arrival. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there was no place within a 100 radius that was moth-free this year."

Beautiful home in an amazing location

I booked this beautiful home for a long weekend trip with my hubby and daughter along with my parents and brother who were visiting from India. Kirk welcomed us personally and left us home baked, delicious cow boy patty cookies. Kirk’s home is clean and comfortable. Group of 10 people or more can easily stay here without feeling too crowded. The wrap around deck and kitchen/living room were great features of the home. It is about 20min drive to Rushmore. I highly recommend this home to everyone.
