35 minutes to Lake Alpine
40 minutes to Bear Valley Ski Resort
The space
Our cabin is perfect for two families or a small group of adult friends trying to get away from the hustle and grind of the Bay Area. As you enter the cozy living area, you are immediately drawn to the wood-burning stove that warms the space. You’ll have the entire A-Frame cabin to yourself including three sleeping areas (two bedrooms and one loft), two full bathrooms, a kitchen, dining, and two living spaces. Outside, you'll find a spacious deck with 2 lounge loveseats, a gas fire pit, a gas grill, a table with an umbrella, and 4 chairs.
The kitchen is fully stocked to meet your cooking needs and opens into the dining room which makes gatherings easy. Plus there are 4 bar stools along the bar in the kitchen. The main floor has two bedrooms (a queen bed in one and two twin beds in the other) with a full bathroom. Head upstairs to the master bedroom/loft with a luxurious king-size bed, chaise lounge, reading chair, office space with 2 monitors and ring lights, and a full-sized mirror.
Head downstairs and into the den/game room (alternate third bedroom) complete with a Pottery Barn sofa, two twin Ikea chairs/cots, a 65" HD TV, a pool table, and a dart board. Ample toys and board games will keep everyone entertained. There is also a half bathroom downstairs with a washer and dryer available to dry out your jackets after skiing/playing in the snow or to dry your swimsuits in the summer. The downstairs living area is perfect for lounging after a fun-filled day in the sun or snow. Finally, the deck is perfect for BBQ, dining, lounging, and star gazing.
For those cold winter days, a wood-burning stove is ready to warm up the home. Please only book our cabin if you are comfortable using a wood stove as it is the main source of heat for the home. We do have wall heaters in the main living areas that also provide heat but the home is heated best through the wood stove. Also note that like many cabins in the area, our driveway is at an incline. We use a plow service that comes to clear the driveway as soon as conditions allow. If you arrive on a day of heavy snow and it hasn’t been cleared, we encourage you to park at the bottom and walk up.
Finally, while our cabin is well stocked with basic kitchen items, a starter set of toilet paper, and paper towels, please note if you are staying more than a couple of nights you will need to bring extras. There is plenty of room to park multiple vehicles and lots of firewood for your stay, however, pets are not allowed due to allergies (sorry).
Regarding COVID-19, please rest assured we are taking additional precautions to clean and disinfect our cabin. In addition to standard cleaning practices, we are spending additional time cleaning and sanitizing high–touch areas (doorknobs, remotes, handles, light switches, railings, and appliance control knobs). Our cleaners are also taking extra hygiene steps as they enter and leave all homes (sanitizing hands, shoes, and equipment).
Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you might have.

These are security cameras focused on the entryways and designed to maintain privacy while enjoying our home.
WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season, 4WD/AWD vehicles and snow chains are highly recommended especially for accessing our steep driveway. We hire a plow service to come every snowfall (of 3 inches or more) to clear the driveway. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between the service and your arrival. We do provide shovels and de-icing salt for your use if necessary. Please do not park on the street, as road plows cannot get through and a fine may be imposed.

NUMBER OF GUESTS: Only the guests on the confirmed reservation are allowed on the property / in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.
PETS: We have a no pet or animals of any kind policy due to allergies. We kindly ask you to abide by our policy to prevent health risks for our family. If an animal is brought to the property, it will result in a fine of $500 for a deep clean and you will be asked to remove the animal or vacate the premises without a refund.
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Please note, our cabin is on a septic system, so please only flush toilet paper when using it. Do not place or flush any feminine products or cleansing wipes. Instead, please throw them away in the provided trash receptacles.
CLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turnover, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.).
