Another great stay at Cannery Row Cottage
I wasn't sure this year's stay could measure up to last year's stay at Cannery Cottage, but thanks to the great staff at Monterey Rentals, we were once again delighted with our stay. This is becoming our favorite rental place. The two downstair bedrooms with full baths makes it great for visitors. The unique set up with the upstairs bedroom, half bath and walk out terrace is a unique feature that puts this place over the top. Oh, and don't forget the absolute convenience of the location, with everything in walking distance. We will long remember having our morning coffee while viewing the beautiful Monterey Bay. You won't be disappointed!

Cannery house
Pictures are accurate. Nice cute little house w nice features. Great bathrooms. Very convenient location, walk to grocery, walk to aquarium. Easy on street parking in front of house w provided permit. Area seems safe and clean.
Master bedroom w sliding French doors. One sliding door is blocked off, no privacy in this room, the door should be released for use as needed. Bowl sink in this bathroom is cool- the drain plug is difficult to use and needs to be serviced.
I would highly recommend this house for visiting Monterey.

Thank you for your review, and for letting us know that the bathroom sink needed service. The master bedroom has sliding pocket doors which close for privacy - we’re sorry you had a problem with them. We have a 24/7 maintenance line to help guests with anything that is malfunctioning or that they do not know how to operate…. we wish you would have called while you were here so that we could have assisted.

It won't disappoint!
It was our first time renting Cannery Cottage, and I'm pretty sure it won't be our last. Cannery row cottage exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. Where to start? The perfection of having two first floor ensuite's. The upstairs bedroom and half bath (and patio) worked out perfectly for a friend who stayed with us a few days and preferred a little more privacy. The living room/dining room set up was so cozy. We spent many nights sitting around the fireplace chatting, with the kitchen just a few steps away to grab any desired snacks. Everything in the place was so clean and well kept. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to see the water while having our morning coffee. Starbucks and the grocery store were just steps away. I could go on and on. The best recommendation I can give is to say we will be back to Cannery Cottage, rest assured!

A wonderful house!
A great house, in a very central location.
The house was fully cleaned before our stay, and had a few of the essentials to get us started. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and plates for any and all in-house dining and cooking, and the outdoor gas grill was a great bonus.
The location is walking distance to both Old and New Monterey, the Aquarium and Cannery Row, as well as Pacific Grove. It also affords easy access to the bicycle/walking path that can take you up to 17 mile drive, as well as down to Seaside.
There is a bit of road noise from Lighthouse and David, but it is usually only at commute times, and becomes background noise after a few days.
While our stay for the month of May was pretty grey (much more than normal for this time of year), we loved staying here and would highly recommend the house, as well as Monterey Bay Property Management. Kyle and Kierstan were VERY responsive and helpful; something you cannot get from the large, corporate rental agencies, which I also use.

Cannery row cottage
We had a great time at this well appointed cottage. Close to everything and easy walking to restaurants and cannery row. We really enjoyed this lovely historical home. It does have street parking but no issues with permitted parking. It did have early morning traffic noise but otherwise a great place to hang your hat. We would come back again I’d rate it 4.5 stars.
Love love love this place would rent again in heartbeat Walking distance to almost everything Karen

Cute place, great location! Larger than the photos
This place was perfect for our group! It was in the perfect spot in Pacific Grove. We loved how the home was decorated as that was something important to us. It ended being/feeling larger than the photos let on. The check-in process was seamless. Be careful on the narrow, steep staircase! Loved the outdoor patio space.

Felt like home
The Cannery Row Cottage was the perfect size and location for our family vacation. It had the perfect amount of space for 3 couples and was conveniently located for activities and meals. We enjoyed the well appointed kitchen for making meals together and the large dinning room table for family game times. The decor was lovely and the photos online tell the story of the beautiful home. The gloomy/cool weather was the only downside to this first of what I hope is many family California vacations.

Stroll down memory lane
The house was perfect. We brought our two children to where we met and had out first date many years ago. The house was perfect, we all had our own space, we enjoying the living space with a fire each night and the porch and outdoor space was a bonus! Being two blocks from the aquarium was amazing. It was a short drive to Big Sur, Carmel and the wharf. Would definitely recommend!

Stay Here, it's perfect!
The Cannery Row Cottage was more than we expected from the listing description. The layout of the house provided my family of 5 (2 teenage girls and our college-age son) with spacious bedrooms to relax in. The upstairs bedroom with the terrace was amazing. The master suite was beautifully decorated and so comfy. We loved having such a well-stocked kitchen to cook in and a washer/dryer was such a plus. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and running along the ocean path. The location of this house made it easy to visit Pebble Beach, take the 17-mile drive where we stopped at the Golf Resort Clubhouse for Lunch overlooking the 18th green. We also visited Carmel, and drove down Highway 1 to Big Sur. Highly recommend this house for its amenities, cleanliness, layout and proximity to multiple outdoor activities in the area. Stay here!!

What an amazing house!
This house was an incredible start to our perfect California vacation. We are a family of 5 (2 teenage girls and a college age son) We travel a lot and having their own space is a must. The Cannery Row Cottage gave them their space and ours! Great bedrooms and bathrooms. The upstairs bedroom with outdoor terrace was amazing! The kitchen is beautiful--we enjoyed cooking meals instead of eating out every time. The washer/dryer were put to good use, and the living room is a spacious place to gather for some family time. Overall, it was a positive experience and a perfect house. I highly recommend this cottage.

'Twas a Good Choice!!!
Wow!! Nice!! Those are just a couple of words we all said as we arrived at and entered Cannery Row Cottage. We were able to park two cars in front--ample space and parking permits were provided. The front yard was well maintained, and as I climbed the stairs, my next thought was being able to spend time sitting on bench that is on the front porch. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. We all liked the furnishings--kitchen is well appointed. Each bedroom is big--the two downstairs have full bathrooms and the bedroom upstairs has a half bath. And the beds are COMFY--not one of us had a problem sleeping. The cottage is only about two blocks away from Monterey Bay Aquarium--it was an easy walk. Cannery Row is also that close--we didn't lack for anything to do. We did enjoy eating at The Chowder House which is about a block and a half away. My son played golf for four days at the Pebble Beach Courses--he didn't have far to drive. The only downside to our stay was that we did get rain--it didn't keep us in, but I didn't use the bench. Maybe next time--I look forward to using the bench!!

Wow!! Nice!! Those are just a couple of words we all said as we arrived at and entered Cannery Row Cottage. We were able to park our two cars in front--ample space and parking permits were provided. The front yard was clean and very well-maintained, and as I climbed the stairs, my thought was of being able to sit on the front porch bench. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. We all liked the furnishings and the kitchen was well-appointed and supplied. The bedrooms were very spacious--we appreciated that each had a bathroom. The beds were sure COMFY--not one of us had sleeping problems. We had easy walks to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. Incidentally, we brought a stroller for our two-year old, but what a nice surprise to find that there was a stroller at the cottage. My son spent his time playing golf at the Pebble courses, so he didn't have far to travel. The only downside was the rain, but that didn't keep us from getting out, but I didn't get to use the bench. Maybe next time--I'm going to make a point!! The only suggestion any of us could make was that we could have used some washcloths. We thought that maybe it was just one bathroom, but there were not any--I guess we're just kind of old fashioned that way. We had a great trip and it's a fabulous property!! Thanks for everything!!

Perfect for 3 Couples
The Cottage was perfect. We loved being walking distance to Cannery Row and the walk/bike path to Pacific Grove. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The 3 bedrooms and beds were great and even though one only had a half bath, the area was well lighted and convenient to dress and get ready to go out. The two showers worked out fine for the 6 of us. Basically, we all loved it and will likely return in the future.

A pleasant stay
We stayed st the cottage with our son ,his wife and two young daughters.
The location is very convenient ,situated 3 minutes away from a large supermarket, and about 10 minutes from the waterfront .
The property itself met our expectations ,except maybe the glass ware.
A new set of wine glasses, including some flutes to enjoy the Californian sparkling wine would be welcome.

Cannery Row Cottage
My daughter, 2 young granddaughters and I like to take a girls trip every year. We had been to Monterey before but stayed in a different cottage. We will definitely be back to this one in Cannery Row. Everything was immaculate. We could walk to everything including the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cannery Row Cottage, Pacific Grove
This is the second time we have stayed here. We were also here last year. Our experience this year was just as nice as last year. Maybe even better, because there was no fire this year. Our only problem was the telephone line from the phone to the wall was missing, but was replaced. We noticed some cracking in the plaster above the dining room table.

Updated and quaint cottage
The cottage location made for easy walking to the aquarium and other spots either spots on cannery row or the bars and restaurants on Lighthouse Ave. the downtown shopping area of pacific grove was great. To top it off the cottage was an easy jump to the ocean walk and the great viewing site of,Lovers Point. Inside the cottage you had a modern kitchen with upscale appliances. Baths were great and one of the bedrooms had a sleep comfort bed! Great decorating and comfy furniture made for a relaxing time just sitting around the cottage.

Lovely Cottage near the Aquarium
We stayed at Cannery Cottage over 3 days for my mother-in-laws birthday celebration with the grandchildren. I loved that the cottage was 3 blocks from the aquarium and waterfront area, perfect for morning strolls, taking little one's the the aquarium and visiting restaraunts on Cannery Row. The boys were able to play in the small yard and scooter around the neighborhood easily, The place was very clean, well-appointed decor and had wifi and cable as well as a BluRay for movies at night, The perfect place for a small family gathering, families with small children or friends weekend in Monterey. Not suitable for a large group who is looking to party all night long as its in a quiet neighborhood.

Charming cottage in handy location
As part of our road trip driving up the PCH, we enjoyed a 3-day/2-night stop in Monterey. The house is on what appears to be a busy street, however we did not notice any noise problems. It is just up the road and handy to a grocery store (Nob Hill), as well as Cannery Row and a whole host of restaurants and shops. It was easy to find and very close to the rental office (where you pick up and drop off the keys). Inside the cottage are 2 laminated parking permits to leave in your car(s) as well, and parking was very easy, just out the front of the house on the street.
The house is in excellent condition - everything looks quite new and is comfortable. TV and internet worked smoothly and there was plenty of hot water for all 6 of us. There were also plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and a drip coffee maker is available.
As other reviews have mentioned, the back porch area is very relaxing, however your best view is from the front of the house. Be sure to walk down the road and check out the shoreline walk that goes to the left, where you can see ocean views and some wildlife!
Additionally, the house is a short drive to Carmel if you want to check out the shops and restaurants there.
We found Monterey to be a pleasant stop and would not hesitate to recommend this lovely cottage!
