Tucked away in Mentone’s peaceful mountain setting, the neighborhood is quiet, scenic, and the kind of place where you can actually hear the wind in the trees. The roads are mostly winding and rural, with pockets of charming cabins and homes spread out through the woods. Mornings are calm, afternoons invite a porch sit, and the sunsets over the brow are the main event.
What I enjoy most is how easy it is to slow down here. You’re close enough to enjoy Mentone’s little shops and spots to eat, plus nearby hiking and lookout views—but when you’re back at the house, it feels removed from the noise. It’s a great area for coffee on the deck, a quiet walk, stargazing at night, and ending the day with that wide-open view that makes you take a deep breath without even thinking about it.
