Disliked: Listing accuracy
This property is nice, however, there are some immediate upgrades needed. There are electrical issues, and there is no dedicated arcade game room. One of the upstairs bedroom lights doesn’t work if the bathroom lights aren’t on. Bathroom lights must be on for bedroom lights to work. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom lights went out as well, tap lights were the solution. The washer and dryer is not in a dedicated area it is in a “bedroom,” where the bunk beds are in front of washer and dryer. There are no arcade games, there is a plethora of games but no game room. These electrical issues need to be addressed immediately.

Thank you for your feedback, Luciana and for choosing to stay with us. We’re sorry that 1 of the light fixtures in the downstairs bedroom stopped working on Sunday, the final day of your stay. It was repaired Monday after your departure. The rest of the lights in that bedroom remained functional in addition to the natural lighting from the window. To clarify, the downstairs bathroom light remained fully operational throughout your stay. Regarding the upstairs bedroom, although the switch configuration between one of the upstairs bedrooms and the bathroom may be somewhat unusual in our historic home, all light switches and light fixtures are fully functional and in proper working order. In regards to the arcade room, I'm not sure if you were thinking about another property. However, arcade games and a dedicated arcade room are not and have never been advertised in our listing. However, as you mentioned, we are excited to provide over 35 board and card games as well as outdoor activities including soccer balls and life size games for a variety of ages which our guests love. Lastly, we’re glad we were able to offer a discounted rate well below comparable 5-bedroom 3 bathroom homes near downtown Dallas for your stay. Our rate has been celebrated by our past guests as low and a great value in close proximity to the downtown area and most of Dallas' major attractions. Thank you again for your stay. We truly value your business.

What makes this property unique

The home was built 77 years ago by Dr. Williams Knox Flowers, Sr namesake of Parkland’s Bluitt Flowers Health Clinic. It was also the home of Retired Chief Deputy Edgar Lee McMillan, Sr, the first black lieutenant, captain and chief deputy of the Dallas Sheriff’s Department.
