Great condo on gorgeous beach!

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The unit was very clean and nicely furnished. It also came equipped with kayaks, floaties and various beach toys. The beach here is perfect. Gorgeous water and nice sand. The condo is also close to town and various shops. The wifi worked well. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return.

Great space and amazing beach!

We stayed in December for a week and it was fantastic! Everything you could possibly need was provided in the condo (including beach towels and chairs, a huge plus!!) Cheri, the caretaker is friendly and extremely helpful in providing information and recommendations. The beach was empty most days and gorgeous! The water, even though there were a ton of waves (which the kids loved for body surfing) was safe (no riptide!!). Very centrally located to both ends of the island and there are plenty of shops around for whatever you need within a 10 minute drive. We can't wait to go back!

Very Good Stay

Very nice and quiet place (if you don't need the resort experience), Property Manager Cheri was very helpful in providing information and suggesting options to visit places. Pros:- 1) Beach was right outside, clean enough except for Weeds. Nearby Channel has Boats coming in and out. So if you snorkel in the Channel be careful. 2) House was very neat, furniture was quiet upscale, Kitchen had all equipments, utensils and basic Food items (Coffee, Sugar, Salt etc.,. Stayed with Kids, so 1st floor unit was easy to get in and get out, however the beach view was less compared to upper floors/units. 3) Also all the Beach gears were there like Kayaks, Chairs and Floats. 4) Nearby Grocery store - Stop n Shop was enough for buying food items. There is a near by local restaurant Siri which had awesome local food. Cons:- 1) VRBO charges 10% of the Rent as Service Fee, 2) It does not say we need to pay $100 as Cleaning fee by Cash when we checkout. Property owner later mentioned this when confirming the booking. So if there is an option to book outside of VRBO, would be a better option. Stayed just for 2 nights, so $100 for cleaning fee was high. 3) Also need Rental Car or use Taxi to get out to Shopping and other places.

Very secluded, great beach. Need a car for sure

Great beach, very secluded, need a car for sure. Island was hurt really bad by the 2 hurricanes. Condo is ground floor which was great but needs extra cleaning, a new matress in the master bedroom. Host was great! Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place or Freeport. If you really want your own condo far away from everything not seeing very many people, like maybe 3 this is for you not much to do on island. The cleaning fee is a bit much for the price you pay. Should be already included as the home was not cleaned to our standards. Dust in main bath ceiling fan & on master bed headboard, had not been cleaned in months place was tidy. Caked on food on kitchen cabinets & mold on bedding & fridge, last but not least we needed to see a Doctor due to beach bugs but they were also in the home like master bed & living room furniture. Host stated to not leave doors open but we did not use AC & wanted the Caribbean breeze. After being to Freeport 22 yrs ago & in Feb for 2 weeks we would never go back. The people we met were amazing!!!

Large well decorated condo on glorious beach.

Enjoyed this lovely condo right on the turquoise waters, great for swimming and even a little snorkeling at your doorstep. Confortable, quiet. Grocery store nearby. Pool was a little too cold for swimming.

Top location!

This is the best beach on the Island, and we checked them all! Perfect for a walk along the emty beach. We, my wife and our two twin daughters (15 yrs) and I, enjoyed every minute of our stay and got a great introduction from Cheri Wood, who lives there all year round! Not to forget, I got two cold Island beers 'Sands' from Cheri. What better welcome can a man ask for? The condo has all you need on a holliday (very good mattresses!), is on the ground floor and almost on the beach,. Just 30 meters to the (just warm enough) sea. Pool is excellent to cool down on a hot day, but not cold. We rented a car with LHD and in my opinion, that is the best way of driving on the wrong side of te road. Believe me, I rented a RHD car ones in England... Explore the Island! It's much bigger than you think! Food is great and well priced at Sabor in the Lucayan Marina. It is just 10 minutes by car, so just check it out! Enjoy your stay in this lovely condo! Fam. Dudink from the Netherlands

Absolutely Awesome!!!!!!!

The initial communication with owners and process concerning the property was super friendly and considerate of my vacation plans and guests. The owners did an wonderful job with selecting Cheri to oversee the rental. She was so professional, friendly, informative and personable- we loved her! The property was perfect for me and my two very particular girlfriends who are professional executives. We were not expecting such an immaculately clean, island post card setting type of condo with a private beach! We enjoyed long morning walks and lots of private time relaxing on the beach and gazing at the canal. We just could not believe how fantastic our stay was! We had several island friends come over and we had no issues getting out and enjoying the native foods and activities. You will be doing yourself a real disservice if you pass this rental up- it was beautiful.

GREAT VACATION SPOT

My Family and I were looking for a beachfront location offering convenience, amenities and comfort. Well this place delivered that and more. My husband and I are in the hotel business and could not have been more pleased to find such a gem. This Condo was immaculately clean and well taken care of. The owners were so pleasant to work with and their property manager on site was the icing on the cake. The community of folks there (both fulltime and part-time residents were very friendly and warm. Freeport is not a "walk around" destination. So go for the charm of the island and book this Condo and rent a car. By far the best way to go! You will have the freedom of seeing all the Island has to offer. We cooked at home on nights we were to tried to go out along with trying most of the recommendations the property manager gave us. All were GREAT! You will not want for anything but a cold beverage while enjoying all this Condo has to offer. Thank you!

condo is well laid out, attractive, spacious, right on the beach. Nicely furnished and had comfortable beds. Large deck on the beach side. Beach is 100 feet wide (at low tide) and over a mile long....never crowded. beautiful coral sand, lots of shallow water. During our stay the water was warm (70's), decent snorkeling right out the door. Cooler air (60's at night) didn't try the air conditioner. Condo is in a somewhat remote area but there is a grocery and liquor store within a mile. A trip to a restaurant or other attractions would require a car. The on-site property manager was a great help is getting us settled and steering us to the Island's attractions ...It was our first visit to Grand Bahamas.

Nice spot but miled out apartment!

Pros- Love the spot on the beach, you can walk out and its right there. The Apartment was big and wellarranged. Kitchen was fully equiped with everything you could ask for. Beds were comfortable and loved the furnature. Cons- smelled funky, there was no hot water or it was off and on. Airconditioner was not the greatest and made this loud banging sound every now and again and smelled musty. It was obvious that the place had flooded as the laminate floors were buckled all over. The bathroom was very dated and grubby and the kitchen as well, and the kitchen cupboards were all sticky. The girl that was to meet us was at least an hour late even though we had arranged a SPECIFIC time to meet and I also called to remind her 2 days ahead of our arrival. Would we stay there again? No!

Steps away from the water. As soon as we flew in we dropped our bags changes and was snorkeling within 10 mins of arrival. Cooking was tough they did not have a lot of things. Although really great kitchen. Lots of towels for divers :) And great information for visitors supplied to us upon arrival. Sires down the street has amazing lobster and conch. Pass on the fried fish. Bush Crack is pretty gross but the Strong Back beer is pretty amazing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great price and convenient to everything on the island and trust me I went everywhere. Ben's Cavern diving. Diving with Cristina Zenato and sharks. Bahamian Brewery. Pier 1 Resturant with shark feeding. Straw market. Great trip

Best Beach is Tyne Beach!

Dick and Jackie ' s unit has everything you need, and is a short drive to large grocery stores with all the food items and brands you are used to. Cheri who manages the unit is very friendly and helpful. We chose not to rent a vehicle and found a local taxi driver we called on occasion throughout the week we were there. Honestly, this is the best beach. All you need is to fill the fridge with food and put on your swim suite! We had a great time! (Traveled with husband and 3 yr old daughter).

My family and I also had a fantastic time staying here. What a great location, gorgeous secluded beach, pristine clear water. Th condo was fully equipped with anything you may need. The owner and Cherri was always very responsive and very helpful. Hope to return sometime soon again.

Secluded beach right out the back door

My family had a fantastic time staying here. With 5 minutes of arriving, we were in our bathing suits and swimming in the ocean. We spent day after day at the beach just out the patio door. The sand was soft and the water was warm. Often we were the only people on the long beach. The condo was in good shape, too. We cooked almost all of our meals there.
