We had a very comfortable stay here. Location is excellent for walking downtown and to the Shakespeare festival. The property is exactly as advertised. Lia was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will stay here again if it is available when we visit next time.
Nice property in a quiet neighborhood about 12 min ( walk) from the Shakespeare theatres. Our host quickly responded to our questions. We would return here again.
This is a beautiful property in a lovely part of town. The host has been attentive and responsive. It was beautifully presented, clean, and lovely. The neighborhood deer are a tranquil welcoming committee.
Host was very informative and helpful. Nice location and property was clean as well. Will be staying there again when I need to visit my daughter in collage. Would recommend to anyone that needs a quiet retreat.
Very cute little property, it was perfect for the two of us during our trip to Ashland. I would have preferred window coverings on all the windows since we were out late seeing plays. WiFi was spotty. But overall a great place to stay and I appreciated the host giving restaurant recommendations!
We had a wonderful stay! We arrived a few hours before check-in, and our host was kind enough to have the house cleaned and ready early so we could settle in. She also provided her personal number, making communication quick and easy throughout our stay. The house was spotless, cool, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the back porch while watching the local deer—it was such a peaceful way to start the day.Everything was perfect for our family, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend
This house is very convenient to downtown (Shakespeare Fest) and it's relatively quiet which is nice. The fenced yard allowed our dog to go outside w/o having to monitor her every move since we knew deer wander the town. I would say it needs more cooking options, pots, pans, etc. The wifi was excellent and the split unit worked great. The bed was comfortable which is a Plus. Lia was very responsive at check in. We had a good time in Ashland. I would recommend it.

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
The issues we had are most likely fixable if communication with the host was easier. We were unable to get hot water in the shower and there appeared to be no WiFi connection. Location was great and the house was clean.

Hi Mary, i’m very shocked by this review considering I sent you my personal cell phone number before you checked in twice during the time because I told you it would be much faster than you sending messages through the VRBO site. You also left the house quite a mess, I would not rent to you again, very unreasonable
Very clean, quiet, well laid out, cute property. Host was a great communicator- gave us her personal phone number and checked in with us to be sure we had all we needed. Host was very responsive and offered suggestions for things to do and see.
The home was clean and cute, but not without some minor problems. For example, most of the chairs were pretty uncomfortable, there was no lamp in one of the bedrooms, and there were only two coffee mugs that we could find. The real problem was the fact that the host gave no guidance at all regarding her expectations for cleaning. For example, she claimed we left coffee stains on the butcher block countertop (which covered an entire island that included the sink). This surprised us because we were barely at the house and did nothing out of the ordinary or inappropriate. If the countertop is difficult to keep clean, then it’s unhandy for guest use, and there should be a note of warning on it so people know to avoid it or treat it with kid gloves. We would have been more than happy to meet her expectations had she stated them. Please be sure to ask her exactly what she wants you to do if you stay here. Otherwise, you'll pay a very unexpected and expensive fee for normal wear and tear. Still, the house met our basic needs, was centrally located, and was (mostly) comfortable.
