The host was very attentive to messages. Easy check in and checkout. A nice, comprehensive guide to the house and local area awaits along with a lovely welcome package. The house was spotless and well stocked. And everything smelled nice and fresh! The outdoor area has AMAZING views of the lake. Water toys were readily available! We’d definitely rebook.

We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Jacquie’s lake house. The house had everything we needed, so many amenities (shampoo, soap, paper towels, fully equipped kitchen, blankets and towels galore, even sunscreen) and personal touches. We kept our 24 ft boat tied up at the end of the dock and although it was a bit small, it worked perfectly. The kayaks and standup paddleboard were also a hit! We were even able to keep our large truck and boat trailer across the street from the property during our stay. The upper deck was such a nice spot for the whole family to sit and enjoy the view, especially in the evening with the gas fire pit.Beds were very comfy and the split AC units in each bedroom really made nights comfortable. The bottom level has a nice little living room with a pullout queen couch. The only negative there is the lack of curtains, so the room is still very bright at night and early in the morning. The skylights in the master bedroom really need some sort of shade/curtain as well during the summer.Otherwise we loved the place and would absolutely consider coming back!

Thank you Sara. You were an ideal guest. Thank you so much for your feedback. We will definitely look into installing shades for the lower level seating and sleeping area and the skylights. We love looking at the stars at night, but the early morning sun is definitely an eye opener!

The outside wooden decking is in desperate need of maintenance and repair. We had a 77 and 85 year old in our group and these areas were a hazard. The homes lighting on main floor was flickering. The nest cooling system was very frustrating to deal with. It would reset the temp back to 80 degrees randomly and made things uncomfortable. The outside cushions for the swing were stained and had debris in all the crevices. The skylights in the main bedroom made sleeping difficult because they weren't equipped with any kind of shade. The light coming through at 5am is directly over the bed. The property next door is being rebuilt and the construction noises all day made relaxing impossible. This should've been disclosed in the listing. After approximately 3 weeks of deliberation of the many lake homes across the FLX area, I wish I would've chose a different stay. This was a bust for our family.

Hi Dan - Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Guest safety and comfort are very important to us, and we have reviewed the items you mentioned, including the decking, lighting, outdoor furnishings, and thermostat settings. We are actively addressing areas where improvements are needed. Regarding the neighboring property, construction activity can unfortunately be outside of our control, but we understand how unexpected noise can impact a vacation experience. This construction is temporary and did not anticipate the noise that occured. We strive to provide a relaxing lakefront retreat for every guest and regret that we fell short for your family during this visit. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the experience for future guests.

The house is lovely, very well stocked with what we needed. We had a few issues that we mentioned to the owner who was quick to communicate back. Grandkids loved the fishing poles and kayaks. The few steps getting to the dock need some TLC, but we had no issues. Everything is clearly marked. We would definitely come back. Communication was excellent.

Thank you so much Teresa. You were ideal guests. We loved having you stay at our home and hope that you come and visit us again. We have some remodeling happening over the winter/spring so hoping to get our lower deck, walkway and stairs going to the dock a new look!

This property was beautiful! Being right on the lake was amazing and the host was very helpful. I would suggest fixing the walkway to the dock, but other than that we loved our stay and would book again!

About the host

I grew up in Buffalo NY and went to school at RIT where I met my husband. We then moved to 8 other locations around the country including: Michigan, Oklahoma, Binghamton, Rochester, Denver and then back to Rochester We now consider Rochester our home. Having moved so many places, I love to meet people and make people feel welcome.

Why they chose this property

I grew up dreaming of owning a lake front property. We love our house for the beautiful view. Our sunsets are incredible especially when you sit on the chairs at the end of our dock.

What makes this property unique

We love being almost in the middle of the lake. We don't get as much lake traffic, yet close enough to have the boat launch close by for guests to drop their jet skis and/or boats in. The best part is having the property across the road. It allows us for extra parking as well as the shed that is the home to my Pilates Studio in the Summer.
