Private Tropical Oasis @The Anchor

Drop your anchor, come and relax in our private tropical oasis located only 600m from the sandy pristine Werri Beach and close to the Mercure Gerringong Resort. Positioned on a near level block, our coastal styled home has 4 sizeable bedrooms, a fully equipped open plan kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Outdoors you have lush resort style inspired tropical gardens, a huge entertainment deck area with a gas BBQ, pizza oven and a very inviting private pool, TYPICALLY COVERED BETWEEN END OF APRIL AND END OF SEPTEMBER.

NOTE: We have one security camera located under the eaves on the corner of the garage pointing to the driveway. It will be on during your stay

The space

Our house is ideal for family holidays and weekend retreats. Most of the house has a step-free access except the main bedroom that has 3 steps. There are also a few steps to get from the deck to the swimming pool.

Main bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite.
Second bedroom has a queen size bed.
3rd and 4th bedrooms have 2 single beds each. If desired, beds in each of these 2 bedrooms can be pushed together.
Portable cots and high chairs are stored in built-in wardrobes.
We have 3 fans in the house to keep you cool on hot days and a beautiful fireplace to keep you warm in winter. We also have an outdoor fireplace and an outdoor pizza oven.
All bedlinen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
Additionally, please bring bedlinen for the portable cots as this is NOT provided.
We have a 65 inch TV . Several board games are stored in the drawers of the TV unit.

We have a table tennis table that is folded and stored in the garage. Bats and balls are provided. If you use the table, please fold it when you check-out.

There are plenty of things to do in Gerringong and its surroundings. Here are just a few of them:

--- Werri beach is perfect for swimming and surfing. It is an exposed beach and reef break that has fairly consistent surf. The best time of year for waves is autumn. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up.

--- Rock pool at the south end of Werri beach is great for swimming

--- Kiama Coast Walk - a stunning 22 Km pathway with spectacular ocean views is a perfect way to explore our region

---Whale Watching platform - enjoy whale migration (southbound September - November, northbound April - June) as the currents bring the magnificient Right Whales close to the shore

---Gerringong Tennis courts - located close to Werri beach, the courts are fantastic facilities with 5 tennis courts - 3 grass and 2 competition standard hard courts with disabled access

---Berry with its award-winning restaurants, boutique shopping and a wide range of activities on offer is less than 15 minutes away

---Kangaroo Valley has a variety of arts and craft shops, restaurants and cafes and is worth visiting as well. Nestled between the neighbouring regions of Shoalhaven and the Southern Highlands, Kangaroo Valley must be one of the most enchanting and picturesque in the state

---Seven Mile Beach is just south of Gerringong. Located between Gerroa and Shoalhaven, it is one of the longest beaches on the south coast, at 12.5 km (7.8 mile) in length, and is part of the Shoalhaven River delta


--- Jamberoo Action Park is NSW's favourite water theme park and is a great family, social group, school excursion or birthday party locations

---Minnamurra rainforest --enjoy spectacular rainforest, waterfall and canyon views from several viewing platforms along The Falls walk.

Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Museum at Albion Park, where you can step back in time and immerse yourself in Australia's aviation history - view some of the most amazing historic aircraft.
