This gorgeous 2,400 square foot house sits right across from the Aerial Tramway where by day you can take the tram across to the San Jacinto Mountains and go hiking or cross-country skiing (in winter months).

Tastefully furnished with designer touches, this luxury vacation rental is in the exclusive gated community of Mountain Gate, just five minutes from historic downtown Palm Springs. Our private gated community, is also just around the corner from North Palm Springs art galleries, bars and many new restaurants.

Business ready with high-speed wireless internet, this house is just steps away from one of three community pools—all equipped with private hot tubs—where you can relax, swim or sunbathe. Or play a game of tennis at one of two on-site tennis courts. There’s also a three-car garage and room for off-street RV parking.

Palm Springs has 130 nearby golf courses, many great restaurants coffee houses, Casino's and downtown night clubs.

4th bedroom Casita with private entrance and a bathroom with walk-in shower is currently occupied. No common space is shared.

Laundry area in the main house with washer and dryer offers convenience. You’ll find plenty of off-street parking with a three-car garage and driveway, and even room for an RV along the side of the house. Tenant in Casita is allowed laundry privileges once per week for two hours.

Winter escape

House is exactly as pictured. We did not have access to the Casita as it was rented out to a long term renter. Rooms are spacious and the back yard is large and well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with quality appliances and cookware. Plenty of dishes and silverware. Beds are very soft. Quiet gated community that has 3 pools, tennis courts, and playground. Only one pool was heated during out stay and was a 10 minute walk from the house. Easy access to I-10 and hwy 111. Not far from downtown Palm Springs which has numerous restaurants and shops. Can tell that the owners take great pride and care of this property.

A Great Vacation Getaway.

This is a well appointed and equipped property located at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains. The neighborhood is quiet and very walkable/bikeable, with nice tennis courts and multiple pools. We have stayed a month, and it felt very much like home. The owners obviously have great pride of ownership and maintain it and use it as a second home, not just a rental. It is conviently located a few minutes drive from downtown Palm Springs, with surprisingly easy access to other area cities.

Many Pluses to this Property

For our stay for the month of February we were impressed by the spaciousness of each room, the well stocked kitchen, good appliances and lots of good towels and bedding. Good use was made of the bikes available, riding around the Mountain Gate development for our exercise. We were disappointed the nearest pool was not heated. This was our sixth home rented annually in greater Palm Springs and not our first choice on location, more traveling to theaters, favorite restaurants, friends in Indio, but great access to our many favored Palm Springs restaurants and activities. Having two ensuites for two couples was appreciated. With this location for us and some updating, particularly flooring, required plus larger cleaning and hidden VRBO booking fee, we felt the accommodation was somewhat over priced, unless you need all four bedrooms.

Great Place to Escape the Winter Blues!

Great Winter Escape

My winter escape from Chicago. Stayed at this house for 4 months. This is one of the best houses I rented. I have been at Ojai, Laguna beach and Redondo beach for the past three years for winter. House is in a gated community close to town and close to windmills. House is open and spacious. Kitchen is well equipped. Loved having the Casita. Great place to entertain my golf buddies from Chicago. Nice backyard where we spent drinking morning coffee and evening tea. Few steps from the house is Jacuzzi. I used to enjoy the Jacuzzi looking at the surrounding mountains. Only problem was the reception on my cell phone was poor and intermittent. However they have free local and long distance unlimited calling with their landline. You have to rent a PO box. Home owner and Manager were very responsive and quickly resolved issues promptly. All in all, it was a great place to stay and I may return again in the future.

Great Family Vacation

This home was a great place for our family of 8 adults to get together. The living area and kitchen are spacious. We enjoyed cooking together and having good conversations at the dining table. The 3 bathrooms made it easy to get ready for going out or clean up after our wonderful hike on the San Jacinto mountain. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The location is wonderful, close to the Palm Springs Areal Tram and downtown Palm Springs with many great restaurants and shops. The neighborhood is very quite and peaceful. We would recommend this house to anyone that needs a larger place to gather.

This home definitely had great view of the mountains, as well as plenty of space inside - including a huge master bedroom and kitchen. It was extremely clean and well appointed, with comfortable beds and just about everything else a person could want. Vacation Dream Home

Our stay was dreamy from start to finish. The owners made our vacation planning a breeze. The second we stepped through the door, we felt right at home and knew we had made the right decision. The rooms were as spacious as the pictures showed, especially the master bedroom with a huge ensuite bath. Loved having our coffee and croissants in the backyard with the morning light illuminating the spectacular mountain views. We barbecued out there in the evening with the stars looking down on us. The house has the kitchen of my dreams and the amenities throughout made us feel quite pampered during our stay. Truly a sanctuary, this peaceful home was the perfect vacation spot.

Nice Place for Family Reunion

This lovely home was the perfect place for three couples to spend a long weekend. The large living room with dining table was perfect for talking and eating with our group. I liked the in-law bedroom entered outside the front door for its privacy. The house was clean and well maintained. It's a nice neighborhood to walk in; we had trouble with the remote control for the gated entry otherwise everything else was really nice. I would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing and Quiet for family

People were easy to work with. The house was so nice and clean as described (clean is really important to me) and well stocked (plenty of towels in linen closet, plates, utensils and such). The beds were super comfortable. There were 7 of us, ranging in age from 16 to 82 and we all enjoyed it. My dad uses a cane and a walker and had no trouble navigating the house as it was large and open (small step up to get inside). Mostly we ate at the house except for one very yummy dinner at Johnny Costas in downtown Palm Springs. The mountain view from the backyard patio and the community pool was beautiful. We loved the open kitchen/living room floor plan. The community pool areas and tennis courts were perfect, large and clean and quiet with lots of chairs and shade area. There is also grassy areas at the end of the blocks which we used to kick around a soccer ball and hit a volleyball. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property.

We stayed here during the...

We stayed here during the Christmas 2009 Holiday season along with another family. Just wanted to say that we loved the place. It is pretty high-end, great location next to the aerial tramway and awesome views from the backyard. It has an awesome fully stocked kitchen and everything that one would need for a more-than-comfortable stay. The complex itself is very quiet and has pool/jacuzzi which we could use even in winter! Fully recommended!

Originally from the east coast, one year I took a vacation to Southern California. It was love at first sight when I saw all the natural beauty, magnificent coast line and breathtaking topography. It motivated me to take the next step and move here permanently. Since 1994, I have never looked back. Then on a weekend getaway to Palm Springs, I fell in love all over again. I searched for the perfect home and luckily found it in the Mountain Gate neighborhood.

Why they chose this property

I had looked at more than 500 homes in the Palm Springs area over a two-year period before purchasing this home in the gated community of Mountain Gate. My goal was to buy a brand-new house with spectacular mountain views and to be a couple of minutes from town.
Mountain Gate is a gated community of newer homes with three pools and two tennis courts near the Aerial Tram Way. The builder showed me eight floor plans and we drove around looking at all the empty lots. I chose the lot with the best mountain views. I also picked the largest home with the best floor plan, which is called "Bella." When I found this newly built home, I knew I’d found the perfect home for entertaining family and friends.

Large open great room. Chef's gourmet kitchen is great to cook in and makes it fun to entertain. Gigantic master suite is spacious with great mountain views to gaze up at while you're in bed enjoying your morning coffee. Lots of love, careful thought and energy has been put into this home.
