Conveniently Located Loft In A Country Setting

The rental is an executive style 2 bedroom, 1 bath loft furnished with a full kitchen, hardwood floors and Martha Stewart style décor. The 1100 square-foot property is filled with unique antique furniture including a claw foot bathtub for relaxation and boasts views of surrounding pastures, woods and mountains. Within these serene rural surroundings, the loft also has all the 21st century amenities necessary for workers and vacationers alike. Radiant floor heating, WIFI and satellite television are there to allow you to stay comfortable and connected. The rental has its own separate entrance and a private deck to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest weather. Your stay includes fresh chicken eggs from our lovely hens.

Please take garbage and recycling to the cans located to the right of the pump house across from the horse barn.
During the winter months please turn down the thermostats to 60 degrees.

My stay at the barn was incredible! This space was beautiful, comfortable, peaceful and serene. Down to the details and the fresh fruit grown on the property, the horses were so friendly and lovable, the peaceful farm life was just what I needed. Jill and family were excellent hosts. The property is a pastoral, beautiful farm. Our barn loft was extremely comfortable and perfect for our Thanksgiving holiday together. They had a fully appointed kitchen with top notch appliances, easy for cooking our turkey and all the fixings. We came to visit with our daughter who lives in town. She stayed with us during our visit. We got to curl up and watch holiday movies, eat leftovers and soak up family time together. Thank you for being excellent hosts! We will be back the next time we come up for a visit!

My parents and I had a great stay at the loft. The most clean and well stocked Vrbo I have ever stayed at. The flowers and greenery mixed w the farm animals was just perfect! Highly highly recommend!

Really beautiful area, the loft was perfect size, very comfortable, well appointed kitchen with lovely touches. The bathroom was great and the beds were comfortable and the room nicely decorated. The hosts were great and the fresh eggs were a lovely touch and delicious! Would stay here again!

The Lift is such a gem! The space was perfect for me. Jill and Fred were excellent hosts! I had a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend. The property is peaceful and quiet with everything you could possibly need. They have animals which was such a joy! I got to feed apples to the horses, chat with the ladies - aka the chickens, and admire one of the kitties from afar. I can’t wait to come back for another stay!

What a fantastic space to relax and unwind. Lovely walks in the neighborhood, lots of fun farm animals. The cottage is perfect! I have to say that it is the best stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in. What a fantastic kitchen! The owners are lovely and incredibly responsive. I loved my time here!!!

We love staying at Jill’s wonderful barn. It’s so comfortable, clean, and well appointed. She is a really kind host who always lets our young son help with the farm chores. It’s a great location for visiting Bellingham or hiking at Mt. Baker.

Hello our names are Fred and Jill and we are excited to have you at the Red Barn Loft. We are two professionals who moved to the Bellingham Area in 1992. We hail from Arizona and Connecticut respectively and made the trek to the Pacific Northwest after college in search of a home. We built our house with two friends and raised two boys on the property.

Why they chose this property

Almost a quarter century ago we were attracted to rural beauty of the Squalicum Valley as a place to build our home and our family, and we haven't left since!

What makes this property unique

The biggest benefit of the loft is the quiet and calm surroundings punctuated by the beauty of nature and wildlife.
