Chateau on the River is located on the “island side” of False River. With a simple but functional layout, this tranquil home offers a spacious living area and fully stocked kitchen - including an ice maker, wine cooler and separate beverage refrigerator. The living space and kitchen open to a back porch overlooking False River. The home offers 4 bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms (two showers with 4 connected toilets and vanities). The other half bath is located on the first floor for easy access while doing outdoor activities. The property includes a fire pit, a gas grill and a large pier to sit and relax, fish or swim. The sunsets at this property are world class. There is also a boat/captain available upon request for an additional charge.

A very nice place for a family getaway! The house was beautiful and very well kept. The kids had a blast playing right off the dock. The owners are very attentive and polite. Highly recommend!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming 4-bedroom house in Ventress — it’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy stunning sunsets over False River. The house was spotless, roomy, and thoughtfully laid out. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking and entertaining so easy, and the living area flows straight out to the back porch which was perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks while watching the sunset.We greatly enjoyed the pier ideal for some fishing, swimming, or just lounging with friends and family. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable, and with 4 bedrooms 2.5 baths the setup works great for larger groups or multi-family stays.Communication with the host was smooth, and check-in/check-out instructions were clear. Everything was as described, and the peaceful lakeside location gave a sense of serenity while still being close enough to town amenities when needed.We would absolutely stay here again — this rental exceeded our expectations and made for a memorable getaway. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a clean, spacious, and relaxing spot on False River!

Went On A Family Vacation With Our Kids & Grandkids Before School Starts & Choose False River ! This Lake House Was Phenomenal, Very Clean , Cozy & Comfy , So Much Room ! We loved our stay !!! The lake was beautiful , 3 min boat ride to the Sandbar for Lunch !!! All the kids and grandkids said they enjoyed there stay and the house was Perfect ! The owner was very kind and understanding and let us book last minute!
