Welcome to Cozy Bear Cabin, your family-owned "home base" for the ultimate Brown County experience. We have premium mattresses and high-end linens in every room because we believe a great vacation starts with a perfect night’s sleep.

Whether you're here for Nashville's charm (5 mins away), a Bloomington graduation, an IU Game (15 mins away), or the trails of Brown County State Park (1 mile away), Cozy Bear offers the ultimate blend of rustic heart and modern luxury.

*The King Suite: Our first-floor primary bedroom features a luxury king-size mattress, an attached full bath, and a door leading directly to the private hot tub.

*Custom Comfort: Both upstairs rooms have their own Mitsubishi climate control, so you can set your perfect sleeping temperature.

As a family-owned business, we personally manage all four of our cabins. We take immense pride in our recent upgrades, cleanliness, and the hospitality we provide to every guest.

~Things to Note~
*The Vibe: Easy access to the main road! While you may hear daytime road noise, it slows down significantly at night for a peaceful rest.
*Fireplace: Electric and can be controlled with remote.
*Firewood: We have stacked firewood recently for your use! If you use the last of the firewood, please let us know :) we simply want to have enough for the next guest.
Check-in/out: Check-in is at 3pm, and Check-outs are 10am. All times are Eastern

Very cute cabin. On a busy road, but it was parents weekend for IU so traffic was heavier this week. It did die down at night. Bedrooms on the non-roadside were quiet. All the amenities were included. Beds were comfortable. House was clean and adorable.

The Cabin was as advertised. Plenty of room for our trip with 6 people . Enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, large kitchen for daily meals with all cooking utensils for an easy comfortable experience. The rooms were spacious and the mattress was an enjoyable nites sleep. Our host Chrisy is a true caring young lady. Our host Christy did a super job and helped make out vacation enjoyable, Thx ChristyWe will book next trip to Nashville and tell our friends about our experience, thx again, Ken Richards

We had a great stay at Cozy Bear cabin for Valentine's Day! Everything was spotless and ready for us when we arrived. Wall plug-ins had the whole place smelling amazing. The outdoor space is beautiful and cozy with the lights. Christy gave detailed instructions for check in/out and left us a beautiful gift from Nashville Fudge Kitchen. Plenty of dishes and pots/pans if you plan to cook like we did. We would love to stay again and bring some friends or family with us!

Last year, we took the leap to become the new owners of these cabins. Our mission? Keeping the family-owned vibe alive while upgrading the essentials—think top-tier tech and the dreamiest mattresses you’ll ever sleep on. We host because we want you to fall in love with the magic of these woods just like our family did generations ago.

Why they chose this property

What we love most about this specific spot is the quiet. Even though Nashville is just down the road, this spot feels deeply connected to the woods. We love the large backyards, the mature trees, and the way the morning mist hangs over the hills here. It’s the kind of place where neighbors wave but mostly leave you to your peace. It’s our favorite launching pad for hiking in the State Park or browsing the local art scene.

What makes us unique is the heart behind the home. We aren't a big management company; we’re a local family with 100 years of Brown County history. We personally oversee every update—from the King suite on the main floor to the cozy Queen bedrooms upstairs.
