We had an amazing time staying at Paige's house in Stowe for a post-Christmas ski trip/New Year's celebration. The house is beautiful, the property gorgeous, and the location just far enough away from town to feel like you're away from it, but close enough for easy access.
An exquisite property that takes your breath away from the moment you arrive to that horrible moment when you have to leave. Truly memorable experience! Wonderful hosts! Thank you so much for sharing Hundred Acre Wood with us!

Thank you, Lauren. We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay and welcome you back anytime!
We had a lovely time here to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. The house is gorgeous, comfortable, and has everything you need for a nice stay. The views are stunning. The village is nearby, and there is plenty to do in the area. Paige is a great host and was very accommodating . Thank you!
The house was perfect for what we were looking for--a cozy spot close to the mountain. Large enough for two families, and just as advertised. And Paige was great about communication throughout the stay. We'd definitely come back!
House was great! Lots of comfortable space for our 3 generation gathering. Property is gorgeous with great views. Kitchen is well equipped. Everything as advertised. Host was very responsive to our few questions. Look forward to coming back.
We were here in June with myself, my daughters and their husbands and 6 grandchildren. It was a wonderful location, the house is exquisite, beautifully furnished but also kid friendly;
they loved the pond, rowing the boat and catching frogs, learning to play pool and the basement with a foosball table. Plenty of room and supplies for all of us. The garden is beautiful, well maintained and so well planted.
All told a wonderful week, few squabbles and lots of enjoyment. Paige was great throughout, even texting from Spain to answer questions.

Perfect place at Stowe!
Our extended family (incl 2 very young ones) spent 5 nights through the New Years here. Loved the place, very elegant country home! Kitchen was fully stocked with all the kitchen tools and gadgets you would ever need to feed a crowd of 12! Only area for improvement would be bigger and more TVs and better and bigger towels. Everything else was just perfect!

We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay, Rachael, and hope you come again! You're right - we only have 2 flat screen TVs in the house. We do have fast internet if guests want to watch different shows on their computers though! Thank you for the feedback about the towels. I tried a linen service to make sure that you had ample towels, hand towels and washcloths for 12 people and am disappointed to hear that the quality wasn't up to par. I will not use them again!

Absolutely idyllic!
I cannot say enough about the beauty of this property. The grounds are magnificent and the interior is stunning. We had 6 adults and 3 little ones. Plenty of space for all and we managed not to break a thing! The owners were most pleasant and extremely responsive to any request. I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed!

Idyllic home and property
Hundred Acre Woods is a very special place and everyone in our family - from 92 year-old matriarch down to the youngest teen - had a wonderful time staying in the beautiful house, and carriage apartment, cooking in the ample kitchen, playing games on the grounds, and swimming in the lovely, clean pond. The view of the gardens, grounds and mountains is absolutely stunning. The location is great - the property is in easy reach of the town, grocery store, mountain resorts. Paige and Scott were welcoming and perfectly accommodating, with Paige even pointing out the ripe blueberries that were waiting to be picked and enjoyed! The only downside - and we see this as no fault of the owners - was really poor cell reception for those of us with AT&T (e.g. it took 5 hours to send 1 text); the Verizon members were better able to make and receive calls, though that sometimes meant going outside on one of the porches. Even so, we would all choose to stay there again if we revisit Stowe!

We are so glad that you enjoyed our home! (Yes, cell phone service in Stowe can be quite spotty but with TMobile we get 5 bars at the house...) We hope that you come again!

Great Family Christmas Reunion
This home was a fabulous holiday rental for our family. Plenty of room (and rooms); cozy spaces for reading, chatting, and games and a lovely great room for the larger gatherings; well-equipped kitchen...it all flowed beautifully. And the owners left the house decorated for Christmas, which was a welcoming touch. A wonderful experience all around.

Splendid Home
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful and comfortable home. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms are lovely (and spotless) and the views are magnificent. It truly felt like a home away from home in a place that has been very, very loved! The owners are such a pleasure to communicate with and are so helpful with directions and suggestions on any topic. We felt so lucky to stay here!

A Magnificent Home and Property!
Our family loved living in Hundred Acre Wood. This home is a vacationer's paradise. There is nothing more special then sitting on the stone terrace overlooking the perfectly manicured, rolling lawn, watching the kids have the time of their lives swimming or boating in the one-of-a-kind pond with island and looking out at the most expansive and impressive backdrop of the Worcester mountain range. All this, after playing a game of tennis on your private tennis court. The house equally lends itself for special dinners and relaxing moments with many different rooms from which to choose. Each room is impeccably furnished and the full working kitchen is aptly positioned to accommodate any dining option. This is a four season vacation home offering amenities to suit people of all ages and interests. The owners are extremely helpful and efficient. We cannot speak more highly of Hundred Acre Wood and hope that you find the opportunity to stay here.
About the host
Hosted by Paige
Hi, we're Emma, Paige and Craig. We enjoy sharing our love of Stowe with guests from around the world and hope to meet you soon!
Why they chose this property
We moved to Stowe from Boston full-time in 1998 because we fell in love with all that Stowe has to offer - the swimming, hiking, biking, skiing (xc, alpine and backcountry), snowboarding, riding, golfing and tennis as well as the active arts and music community. We were attracted to the more back-to-basics, healthy, environmental lifestyle and were pleasantly surprised by the true sense of community in Stowe. It is a real town with a tradition of hospitality, strong community spirit and a wealth of educational, cultural and social opportunities - with all of the attractions and benefits of a tourist town. It is the best of both worlds. Year round there is so much to do from all of the traditional winter sports to maple sugaring, the farmer's markets, Music in the Trapp Meadow, hiking and festival season (Stowe hosts various art, music, antique car, wine and hot air balloon festivals every summer), 3 of the world's best spas, natural attractions like Mount Mansfield, Bingham Falls, the Green River Reservoir, and the Lamoille River, and of course, several premier golf courses.
What makes this property unique
We spend much of the summer swimming in our pond, overlooking the mountains, playing on the pond's beach or walking the property and enjoying our several perennial gardens. On the property there is also a small, screened-in pond house and dock, which is a great place to rest and have a glass of wine while watching the fish jump. You can also row out to Emma's island in the middle of the pond. There is a tennis court and private sitting area by blueberry bushes for fresh picking during the summer months. Our property is close to the village center (2 miles) yet feels like you are in a private countryside. We are a short drive to the mountain and enjoy skiing, snowboarding or xc-skiing early each morning during the winter.
