The rooms and everything was clean in appearance- the location was perfect. However the smell was awful- contacted the host he thought it was the new cleaning liquid he last used/ asked us to wait till the am to see if it was still there in the morning- it was so he went and picked up an air purifier and dropped it off - it didn’t help we had to check out early and head home one day sooner. The smell was so strong our clothing even smelt once we got home - it was a mix of sulfur/dampness and I’m not sure just very strong. The kitchen had many many ants we had to toss our food we had purchased our first night as we didn’t know there was a problem. The second night we tried cooking but the pots and pans were ruined with leftover burnt food from the guests before us. Location was great / host answered all the responses/ however home was not as described- will not rent again

The house suited our needs for occupancy and was clean upon arrival. Kitchen was fully stocked with any dish you could possibly need, the only thing we couldn’t find was a can opener! The start up toiletries and linens being provided was a huge bonus and appreciated! Our only suggestion would be a few more steps added to make going down to the ocean a little easier. Overall we loved the house, and the set up was excellent for a large group. We would definitely recommend it and would stay here again!

Great location directly on the beach, and we loved the large table we could all sit at and the dogs loved the covered porch to people and dog watch! We could see fireworks up and down the beach, great 4th of July!

We booked this place for a large group surf trip, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The house was absolutely fantastic and accommodated all of us with ease. One of the biggest wins was that every single bed was incredibly comfortable—which is exactly what you need after paddling out for hours.Speaking of paddling out, the views from the property are spectacular, and the waves were downright epic all weekend. On top of the amazing house, the host was incredibly nice, welcoming, and responsive. If you have a large crew looking for the perfect surf getaway, this is the spot. We will definitely be back!

Our family adores time at the beach - swimming, tanning, going for walks, searching for shells, and listening to the sweet sound of the waves crashing. We love family time with delicious food, a board game, and a good game of kickball.

If you are returning to Topsail Island, you might know us from Topsail Escape Room or Topsail Pie Company. Although we chose to close both of those businesses, when we owned them, we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to share our town with those on vacation. We felt honored to be trusted with your family time then and we will feel honored if you trust us again by renting this home.

What could be better than an ocean-front home?

If you are lucky, you'll catch some dolphins swimming by. You'll most definitely see some elegant pelicans flying overhead. You might even win the jackpot with a sea turtle sighting or a sea turtle nest "boil" (the official name for the eggs hatching).

Whether you prefer swimming, tanning, surfing, fishing, or just relaxing, this is the place for you!

What makes this property unique

Our home was built in the 1950's and we've preserved that unique surf-shack charm while also including modern conveniences.

Relax in the updated outdoor shower. Nothing beats a shower with a slight ocean breeze and the sound of the waves crashing!

The locally-made extra large kitchen table will comfortably fit your entire group. Gather around this table for a good meal, a fun game, or just to catch up with each other.

We are in the perfect location on the island. Close enough to walk to dinner or shopping if you would like. With no condos or big parking lots near by, you’ll find our part of the beach is less crowded than many other spots.
