A truly perfect home in the mountains. For me, the view is what makes the trip. When searching for the best home for us, I wondered if we'd miss having a full mountain view. I'm so glad we chose this place. The river-front porch was where we spent most of our time. We stayed in February, so we couldn't put our feet in, but I could imagine how wonderful it would have been in the warmer months. Listening to the river was so peaceful. The house itself is beautiful inside - exactly like the photos - and is on a very quiet street. Hardly any traffic. The wi-fi was a bit spotty at times, but we didn't need it much. Just for TV in the evenings. We reached out to the host for help with it when we arrived and she was very prompt and helpful. We were in town for a wedding shower and were able to take a fun day trip to Waynesville for shopping and lunch. The home is very conveniently located. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I hope we can come back soon!

Hi, I’m Stacey. I’m originally from Florida, but I fell in love with the Blue Ridge Mountains and the peaceful pace of Western North Carolina. I enjoy creating welcoming spaces where families, couples, friends, and even pets can relax, reconnect, and make memories together.

As a host, I want guests to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. I care about the little details that make a stay feel easy — cozy spaces, clear communication, thoughtful amenities, and a home that feels both relaxing and fun. Whether you are here to explore Asheville, hike waterfalls, fish along the river, visit nearby mountain towns, or simply enjoy quiet time by the fire, I hope Riverside Retreat feels like a special place to slow down and enjoy.

Why they chose this property

We chose this area because it offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful riverfront mountain setting with easy access to some of Western North Carolina’s favorite destinations. The home is located in Canton, along the East Fork of the Pigeon River, surrounded by natural beauty, fresh mountain air, and a slower, more relaxing pace.

What we love most is how close it feels to everything while still feeling tucked away. Guests can enjoy quiet mornings by the river, cozy evenings around the firepit, and day trips to Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, waterfalls, hiking trails, local restaurants, breweries, shops, and seasonal mountain activities.

What makes this property unique

Riverside Retreat stands out because it combines a peaceful riverfront setting with fun, comfort, and room for everyone to enjoy. Guests can relax along the East Fork of the Pigeon River, gather around the outdoor firepit, unwind in the private sauna, or enjoy the game room with foosball, poker, and bumper pool.

The home sleeps up to 8 guests with all queen beds, including two bedrooms and an open loft with two queen beds. It is also pet friendly, so guests can bring their four-legged family members along. The covered porch, gas fireplace, full kitchen, river access, and cozy mountain feel make it a great fit for families, couples, fishing trips, ski weekends, fall getaways, and relaxing Blue Ridge Mountain vacations.
