Chalet in Cala Mendia

The property was very clean and very well equipped. Communication with the host was very good. It was a short walk - 10-15mins - to both beaches, albeit the walks were a little difficult for my parents due to the stairs. Cala Mendia itself is a very quiet resort but it had enough restaurants for our needs. I would recommend the local shops for essentials only as they are very expensive. We took the bus to Porto Cristo and did our shopping there. A taxi was about 10-15euros back. Overall we had a great time and it was a very relaxing holiday.

Disappointing house

The lady that met us at the property to check us in was lovely and the air conditioner worked really well, that’s where the positives end.The entire lower floor with the bedrooms had an awful odor, so bad that we went out to buy an oil sent diffuser. We kept all the doors and windows closed, but they clearly had massive gaps that would let in an insane amount of flies. Every morning, when I would wake up, there would be 50 to 100 flies in the master bathroom. The front door handle fell off from the inside when we went to leave the first afternoon. Lights were broken, the place was very dark - even with all the lights on. The Nespresso didn’t work and shot water all over the counter. All the trashcan lids were broken, the step to open them did not work and we had to touch and lift the dirty trash can lids. The absolute WORST was the lack of hot water. After one 5 minute shower, all the hot water was gone FOR THE DAY. It literally took hours to make a few gallons of hot water. Never again, this property is far from comfortable and is absolutely not luxury.

Dear guest, Thank you for booking our hotel and our services. Unfortunately, we cannot understand your shortcomings in any way and we would like to comment on the points as follows: We have our technicians and our key service in action every day during the high season. Before you travelled, you were provided with the contact details for check-in and on-site communication. After consultation with our partner, you were not contacted by them. We could have rectified the problems immediately. During the main cleaning of the property after your stay, the defects you mentioned were not found. Our current guests in the property do not show these defects either. We would have been pleased if you had addressed the alleged issues on site. Please also note our 5 star ratings of the last years! Presenting the points in this way afterwards has a bad flavour. Your host

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in entspannter Lage
