About this property

Log cabin-style home nestled among meadows and mountain forests, with a large patio and garden

Welcome to the Bergwiese Holiday Home. Our house, featuring two cosy holiday apartments, is located in the idyllic village of Vesser in the UNESCO Vessertal Biosphere Reserve in the Thuringian Forest. Surrounded by meadows and forests, you’ll find wonderful tranquility and unspoiled nature here. Hiking trails and cross-country ski trails start right outside our door.

The Arnika apartment is an incredibly cosy holiday rental with a private entrance on the upper floor, built entirely of log walls. It offers plenty of space for up to 4 people. In the spacious living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, a ladder leads up to an adventurous play or sleeping loft that children especially love. There are also two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. The bathroom features a shower and toilet. On the huge terrace with a mountain view, you can relax wonderfully and enjoy the evening sun and the scenery. Use of the large garden, nestled in a mountain meadow, is of course included.

The holiday home is bordered on three sides by mountain meadows and forest. It’s perfect for hikers, nature lovers, and anyone simply seeking peace and quiet, a slower pace of life, and a chance to recharge. With no driveways to navigate, you can step right onto hiking trails and cross-country ski trails. Explore the Vessertal Nature Reserve, recently named the most beautiful valley in Central Germany by MDR, and discover the unspoiled landscape with mountain streams, springs, forests, wild meadows, and raised bogs. The popular Rennsteig high-altitude hiking trail is right nearby, as are various attractions such as a horse farm and the Schmiedefeld Winter World with a lift, snowmaking system, and much more.

Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen, leider sollte die Unterkunft mal hier und da überarbeitet werden, da sie schon etwas abgelebt ist, gegenüber den Bildern. Das Türschloss hakt, Griffe sind teilweise locker, Steckdosen auch und die Sauberkeit fanden wir nicht so gut, über all war es staubig und in den Ecken lagen Staubfusseln. In diesem Zustand würden wir die Unterkunft zur Zeit niemandem empfehlen, es sei denn, den jenigen stört sowas nicht dann kann es klar empfehlen, auch auf Grund der Lage.

Der Aufenthalt im Gesamten war sehr schön. Es war so auch alles vorhanden. Küche ist einfach gehalten, aber ausreichend. Gemütliches Flair durch das Holz.

Entschleunigung pur

Wir waren insgesamt zwei Wochen in der FeWo und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vesser ist unglaublich schön und ruhig gelegen. Die Wanderwege beginnen direkt vor der Tür. Die Beschreibung sollte noch um die vorhandene Waschmaschine ergänzt werden. (Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern ein echter Mehrwert) Familie Rullmann ist sehr freundlich und reagiert schnell auf Anfragen.

Wohlfühloase

Wir haben uns auf Anhieb super wohl in der Wohnung gefühlt. Wir hatten trotz des eher herbstlichen Wetters eine tolle Woche im Thüringer Wald. Lage und Ausblick der Wohnung sind prima, jeden Morgen schauten unsere Kinder als erstes nach dem Aufwachen nach draußen, ob die Pferde oben auf der Weide waren. Wetterbedingt haben wir einige Indoor-Angebote gemacht wie Museen und Schwimmbäder besucht, haben jedoch jede trockene Wetterphase zum Wandern genutzt. Da ist es praktisch, dass man direkt vor der Haustür loswandern kann:-) Gerne kommen wir nochmal wieder!

Ferienwohnung in super ruhiger Lage

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in dieser gemütlich eingerichteten Wohnung sehr genossen. Durch das viele Holz herrschte eine warme Atmosphäre. Die Umgebung ist super geeignet für Ausflüge in den Wald. Es gibt zahlreiche Wanderwege in unterschiedlichen Längen. Der Ort wirkt etwas verlassen, eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist nicht im Ort vorhanden. Das störte uns aber so gar nicht. Es war perfekt so, weil es einfach mal sehr ruhig war. Wir wurden auch sehr herzlich empfangen und mit Ausflugstipps versorgt! Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft sehr gern weiter und kommen bestimmt auch mal wieder!

Erholsamer Aufenthalt in toller Lage

Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Einzig die Ausstattung mit Gläsern und Besteck ist recht knapp. Ein Geschirrspüler wäre auch eine schöne Erweiterung.
