Furnished with historic-inspired decor, enjoy a night in the Big Caboose - a private and elaborately decorated cabin at Siltcoos Station Retreats. This spacious 1-bedroom retreat blends vintage railroad charm with modern comforts, offering a truly memorable stay on beautiful Siltcoos Lake.
Inside, you’ll find thoughtful period-inspired décor and antiques that honor the site’s past as a 1920s train station. The cottage accommodates up to 4 people with a Queen bed in the bedroom and a day bed that provides 2 twins in the living room - making it ideal for a couple looking for space and privacy or a small group.
The full kitchen comes equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, and large windows frame a view overlooking a garden area, while heavily insulated doors and windows help keep rail noise to a minimum. Complimentary Wi-Fi and inspiring lake views also make this cabin a great choice for remote work or creative inspiration.
Step outside to relax on your private deck with bistro seating, fire up the charcoal grill, or enjoy evenings around your propane firepit. Guests also have access to complimentary kayaks and canoes (first-come, first-served), plus easy access to the property’s marina, pier, docks, and boat launch for fishing or boating adventures.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love exploring nearby hiking trails, seasonal mushroom and berry foraging, and the Oregon Coast just a short drive away. The town of Florence offers excellent dining, shopping, waterfall hikes, crabbing, clamming, and charter fishing—making the Big Caboose the perfect base for adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable memories.
