THE PALM

The Palm cottage captures the upscale side of island time living. This professionally decorated cottage comfortably sleeps four with extra linens and all the essentials...All the way down to the wine glasses. Inspired by palm trees and the need for peace and tranquility, we have seen to it that this cottage is a place you and your family can escape from it all. Whether you are planning a family trip, getting away for a weekend with friends, or taking a break with a weekend devoted to just you; this cottage is conveniently located close to all the key places in the area.

Note: This cottage is not big enough for more than 2 adults. It will work for 2 adults and 1-2 kids (under 12) but it will be tight quarters.

Location,Location,Location, Cute Cabins. Walking distance to fine restaurants and taverns. Also fishing from shore and pier. Lots of things to do in the area.

long weekend end of summer

The property is as described. The deck is nice. Within a very short walk were several bar/grills, seafood etc. It was pretty loud in the cottage from music down the street. That isn’t particularly bothersome to me but it would be good to know if you have small kids or are a light sleeper. Definitely go down and rent an Cruze if you are there on the weekend. And get some evening coffee at Coffee spanked.

Great for a couple

The cabin was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants bars and the fishing pier. We had a minor issue with the remote control not working and the owner quickly came to try to resolve the problem.

R & R only

It was good for a short R & R vacation. Photos make the Fulton Pier seem a lot closer than it really is for someone wanting to walk but cannot go far distances. Cottage was nice with everything needed and area is very nice, calm and relaxing which is what I wanted.

We were forced to checkout a day earlier due to the flash floods in Rockport. The cottage was at the verge of receiving flood water when we were forced leave around 11am. I will request a reimbursement for that day lost as a result of the weather.

Mesquito Haven

Mesquitos very bad, could not open door or go to vehicle without getting swarmed with them. Parking not good for cottage #5, the Palm, especially if you have a truck. Sofa sleeper very uncomfortable, definitely not meant for taller people as far as shower, toilet, and beds. Bathroom way too small. Probably ok for petite shorter people. It looks nice and clean inside and there were plenty of dishes and towels. There is a burner missing from the stove. Window AC worked well. Outdoor Grills were not clean and still had old bucket of charcoal sitting around.

Cute and cozy, great location

Great cottage 2 blocks away from the action. We wanted to visit Corpus Christi because we never been and found this nearby cottage. After visiting CC we sure are glad we stayed in Rockport instead. There was a Babes on the Bay competition which was cool. Check your spam for the key code to the cottage because mine went there. There isn't management on site, but they did call back right away to give me the code that I didn't realize was in my spam. There was all the cooking essentials that we needed available, table, fridge, outside table with fan, 2 blocks from bars. Convenient location for this small town. The bathroom is small, but since we read the reviews we expected it. It actually fulfills its purpose, so it worked fine for us. It was quiet at night which was great! They conveniently have an useful air freshener, which was great. The beer glasses in the freezer were ready for us upon arrival. There was dish soap as well. Will totally visit again.

Not worth the cost

No hot water the entire stay, not enough bath and hand towels, dishes in kitchen were dirty with caked on food. floors were poorly cleaned, found empty water bottles by bed and night stand. Owner did respond quickly with plumber when I called about the hot water and for 2 hrs we had tepid water to bathe in, after that it was back to cold. This rental was worth no more than $50 per night. Location was near boat ramp and restaurants but nowhere near any beach access. It was evident that water had been standing on the floors for some time after the hurricane because they did not replace the night stand or chest of drawers. No smell of mold however. Bath extremely tiny and toilet was sized for a child. I'm only 5'2" it was low for me, my husband 6' was nearly impossible to use. Kitchen useless, dishes had dried food on many of the plates and bowls. Obvious cleaning staff did not check cleaning skills of last occupants. Refrigerator had many stains and a slight oder but did make Ice and we were able to refreeze our ice packs. Owners would do well to enlarge bath, downsize kitchen to sink, refrigerator and microwave and not worry about people trying to cook. Most eat out except perhaps for breakfast.Can't recommend this set of rentals, there are 5, if you are wanting anything more than a place to sleep. No proper lighting for any reading except the ceiling fixture and you could only watch TV if you were in bed as the couch was on the same wall as the TV.

There was no one else at the property, we had to keep dog on leash when outdoors. There was no dog area for him to play or run, he was not happy. The posting was deceiving; the pier was over 7 blocks away. The room was very small; it was a good thing we are not big people.

Charming cottage. Location to water and restaurants excellent. I worked remote so required reliable WiFi. By adding a WiFi booster, I had reliable WiFi except for two days when I had to use hotspot.

Cute charming cottage

The overall place was very cute and quiet, which was what we wanted, to be away from all the party crowd. This is exactly the place if privacy and quiet is what you're looking for. Quick tip for anyone looking to cross the fairy to Port Aransas. When we got to the fairy at 11:30 am, the wait time was 45 mins. we decided to drive toward Corpus Christy to the South side, which was quicker than waiting for the fairy. After a day in Padre Island, we took the fairy back into Rockport, which was quick, only 30 minute wait time and quick to cross. We enjoyed the cottage stay and will return in the future. Our only sad part was on the last evening. We did not have good wi-fi connection. We were trying to watch a movie, which kept stopping every 2 minutes. I think everyone was on the same connection which slowed down eventually. This isn't a bad thing if you're on vacation, we weren't upset. We were happy to find such a cute place.
