Start dishwasher, Please put on “extra dry”. Gather only white towels and robes (if used) and start a load. Please take out the kitchen trash. PLEASE DO NOT strip any bedding.
Close windows/lock doors. (downstairs slider-latch goes up) Winter–Turn heat on NEST circular dials/mini-splits to 61. Summer–Turn OFF the AC/Heat wall mini splits and turn the NEST Dials to 50.
Pull down blinds except the very upper ones in Fall/Winter. Ceiling fan/lights off. Lock the front entry door. Please check that the door is locked even after hearing the lock engage. Thank you!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

What a serene location. The house itself is magnificent, but there are no words to describe looking out of the numerous windows to the fog covered lake in the morning and gazing at the stars in the evening. The host was incredibly responsive, I could tell they truly cared about our experience. So much attention to detail with all the amenities you could think of. Highly recommend!!

This was one of the nicest VRBOs we have ever stayed in. The house was not only clean with beautiful views, but the attention to detail is what took it over the top. The kitchen was well stocked, the linens and bedding were soft and cozy, and the added pool table and pickleball courts made for lasting family memories. Everything was meticulously thought out and labeled, leaving nothing to question. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay.

Absolutely gorgeous home that has everything you could need for a relaxing and entertaining getaway - you can tell there's immense thought put into the accomodations. Everything was pristine, clean and directions were detailed... And you can't beat the stunning views. The master bedroom and bathroom is a dream and the entire home felt so spacious - even though we only had three in our party this could easily accommodate multiple families. There's something for everyone and the hosts were responsive and kind. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic property! Beautiful views of lake cushman via floor to ceiling windows and expansive decks… owner has thought of everything and designed the perfect cabin with all the amenities that you can think of. We had planned on using this as a jump off point for exploring the Olympic peninsula but this home was so inviting we never wanted to leave. We appreciated the wheelchair friendly main level with huge roll in shower and easy access to the deck. Top notch construction and finishes. Very clean and comfortable. Private and quiet. Kudos to owners for organizing everything and providing instructions that make the property useable. We hope to be back!

This property is everything it says & so much more. A treasure find on the Peninsula. Actually our Queen Anne Seattle daughter found this home on VRBO for a gathering with the Austin grandparents. Our 14 year old grandson, who is an avid fisherman, loved spending hours at the lakes with us and kayaking with his mom. He had pool, kayaks, a pickle ball court, games etc to keep him entertained & we enjoyed cooking meals and watching movies together. Great coffee and ice cream cones just down the road in Hoodsport. Marie & Mike’s attention to detail in their lovely home as our hosts was unparalleled & made us feel even more at home.

We recently stayed at this rental home and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The property was exactly as described, a beautifully appointed home that has everything you need for a wonderful stay.The views from the rooms are absolutely spectacular, and the home offers a great sense of privacy while still being conveniently close to local attractions. What an amazing property. Mike and Marie really thought of everything. You can tell they put a ton of thought and effort into making this place a very welcoming, fun and relaxing environment for anyone that stays here. The view is wonderful and the trails around the area are great. We had a wonderful time and definitely want to come back here again in the future. This is a great place to bring family or a nice couples getaway. The place was clean and tidy. Mike and Marie were very responsive and were willing to assist with recommendations for the local area. We arrived later at night after visiting friends and Mike sent us a message making sure we could find the place in the dark. It was truly an amazing stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the beautiful Mountain Glory! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away—it was somehow even more beautiful in person than we expected. We came as a family of four with our two teenagers, and it ended up being such a special getaway for all of us.The house was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and filled with so many thoughtful touches that truly made it feel like a luxury stay. We had so much fun playing pickleball and going through the huge assortment of games together. Our favorite moments, though, were relaxing on the deck and taking in the incredible views.And I have to mention the beds—they were unbelievably comfortable! It’s so clear how much pride and care the hosts put into this home. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and it really shows. The hosts were absolutely fantastic, and we felt so lucky to spend time in such a beautiful place. We’re already talking about when we can come back! Absolutely stunning luxury cabin home with anything and everything you would want or imagine! I cannot say enough positive things about the owners and the property itself. The location is near lots of hiking trails and provides a hang tag for the car to access the Lake Cushman private parks to launch kayaks and paddle boards. Super convenient and easy, not to mention beautiful. We had three teenagers with us and they are tough to please sometimes, but not here! It’s hard to put into words how special our stay at Mountain Glory was. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at peace. The breathtaking views of Lake Cushman are something we’ll never forget. Every morning with a cup of coffee overlooking the lake and every evening watching the colors change across the water felt like a gift.The private pickleball court was such a fun bonus! It gave us the perfect way to stay active, laugh together, and make even more wonderful memories.The home is beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. I could not be more impressed with how amazing this property is. From the view to the detail and decor inside, all of the items that made this an absolutely memorable stay for myself and my son, it was perfect. Every time I think I've seen everything that the property has to offer, I get surprised by something amazing! This is a true gem! Although the photos are beautiful, they do not do it justice. All is immaculate, probably one of the best inclusive properties we have stayed at (been with VRBO over 20 years!). Everything is 5star when you walk in the door with every amenity you could think of. Although the amenities are amazing, it's the thoughtful little touches that you notice during your stay. I cannot think of anything you need that is not provided. The property book is so helpful with understanding how to operate all the amenities and their dining recommendations were spot on. Pay attention to the hiking and recreational info they provide as it is really helpful.And, finally, the owners are the best people! They reached out before out stay regarding fishing reports/updates as we indicated we enjoyed that do reach out if you have questions. I and see why there are repeat vacationers here.You will love it!

This place was absolutely incredible. More space than we needed and incredible views from each nook. Everything about the house seemed brand new and very high end. The location was so great. Mountain Glory has been a dream of ours since we first discovered this special place in 2005. We were camping nearby with our almost-two-year-old son, back when Lake Cushman Resort still had its campgrounds. The breathtaking beauty of the area captured our hearts, and we knew we wanted to be part of it.

A year later, we purchased the property — vacant land, nothing but dirt and a big dream attached. Construction didn’t begin as quickly as we hoped. It wasn’t until 2017, after overcoming numerous obstacles, that we finally started building our home. We faced challenges along the way, including parting ways with our contractor early in the process and taking the reins ourselves to bring our vision to life. Many hands have touched this property, and every effort was worth it.

We named our home “Mountain Glory” in honor of the stunning Olympic Mountains that frame Lake Cushman with their majestic beauty. This place is a true blessing made with blood sweat and tears, a labor of love that took years of dedication, hard work, sacrifice and determination. Every corner of this home reflects the effort, care and passion that went into creating a place where families and friends can make memories for years to come. We are grateful to be surrounded by such inspiring nature. From the very beginning, we wanted to give thanks to God for the beauty that surrounds us — and that gratitude is woven into the heart of Mountain Glory.

We are thrilled to finally share this special place with you, and we hope it brings you as much joy and peace as it has brought us.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Lake Cushman and the surrounding Olympic Mountains the very first time we visited. The natural beauty, peaceful lake views, and endless outdoor opportunities-hiking, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and exploring Olympic National Park-captured our hearts.

We also love the charm of nearby Hoodsport, a cozy waterfront town that has local shops to discover and dining choices to grab a meal if you want to hit the easy button. Let's not forget the delicious Olympic Mountain Ice cream the local cafe offers!

For us, this area is the ideal mix of adventure, relaxation, and small-town charm. Mountain Glory lets us share the breathtaking scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and warmth of this special community with our guests.

Mountain Glory Lodge offers a one-of-a-kind blend of lakefront beauty, mountain views, and spacious family-and couple-friendly living. From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice the care and attention that went into creating this home-from the live-edge wood dining table, the luxurious master suite with a walk in triple headed shower facing the stunning lake, to the second comfortable king sized spare bedroom. Guests can relax knowing the property has an added layer of security with a gated entrance.

Our home is designed for comfort and fun, with heated floors, air-conditioning in master bedroom, full blinds to keep cooler in the summer, large overhead fan in main living room, a hot tub, and two decks-one of which is covered for relaxing in weather and the main deck for star gazing at night, and let's not forget to mention the outdoor covered patio, where you will find the option of a Weber propane BBQ or Blackstone propane grill. For meal times, the kitchen is fully stocked with every tool and appliance you might need for cooking and baking, whether it's a casual family breakfast, a homemade pizza night, or a full holiday feast.

Entertainment options include a pool table, outdoor foosball, non-official pickleball court, ladder ball, corn hole and a variety of indoor games, puzzles, and multiple dining spaces for meals or gatherings. Cozy up to two indoor propane fireplaces, or gather outdoors around the "smokeless Breeo" fire pit- also a propane option-perfect for starry nights, s'mores or a romantic evening. If the weather isn't cooperating, we have you covered by providing an indoor Solos s'more stove! Bring your marshmallows....YUM! Relax indoors, pop on a movie and enjoy the Sonos surround sound.
