Awesome waterfront vacation home on Hood Canal at Lilliwaup Bay! Incredible 180-degree views of the Canal from nearly every room in the home. Level 2 EV charger. Great Kayaking right from the private beach (five kayaks and two rowboats and life vests for complementary use by guests). Nearly 100’ of private low-bank waterfront and tidelands. Built in 2008, the home has modern amenities such as Level 2 EV charger, granite countertops, stone gas fireplace, 50” and two 43” HD smart TVs (Netflix and Amazon Prime Video) with Blue Ray DVD player, high speed internet, stereo system, and a modern fully equipped kitchen. The home is a custom-built home and while it has all the modern conveniences it also has a charming rustic feel to it. Great views from nearly every room including the upstairs loft master bedroom. By master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed. Additionally, the living room has a queen sleeper sofa, and a portable twin XL is available as well.

Well suited for the four of us. Went to a festival nearby, the house is well organized and had all that was needed. Beautiful views. Hope to be back sometime
Jay the host was wonderful and had excellent communication! This place is as advertised and our stay was amazing! Everything about this house was great, from the views to the kitchen. We made some great food and memories here. We are planning on coming back this summer.
Fantastic Stay. Super Clean. Host is the best. Beds comfortable. All appliances top shelf. View is incredible from property. My highest recommendation for a good stay
The owner was very responsive and made sure the property had everything needed. Great views and location. EV charger was a big plus. Home was extremely clean
The house was beautiful and clean! It had everything we needed and more! We loved having access to the beach and kayaks. It was so quiet and peaceful! There were many wild animals to watch for-otters, bald eagles, seals, hummingbirds, and more! The perfect place for a family getaway! Thanks!
We fell in love with Jay's home (and Hood Canal!) the first time we visited and this was our third stay. Every time we stay somewhere else we compare it to this property. It's great to have multiple kayaks and row boats to use. Everyone in our family gets out on the water (ages range from 11-85!). Jay's a wonderful host, too...great communication, extra touches that make your stay easy and feel like a cozy home, and very accommodating. We'll be back! Thanks!
Gorgeous property, attentive host. The place was perfect, beautiful and clean. Amazing location and fantastic view. Outstanding proximity to Olympic National Park and quick ferry to Seattle. Would most definitely recommend staying here for a spectacular vacation!!!
The home was clean, well furnished, and the kitchen was well appointed and fully functional. Good communication with host. Great view as advertised, we saw sea lions and otters off the deck, as well as a variety of birds including a bald eagle who lives nearby. We had to improvise on our original plans as the closest entrance to Olympic National Park (Staircase) was closed due to the Bear Gulch Fire. Instead, we visited nearby state parks (nice trails at Lake Isabella State Park). We also loved Hama Hama Oyster Farm & Store. Get a dozen oysters in a bucket from the store and shuck them yourselves on site. Overall, a perfect low-key place to stay along the Hood Canal.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We enjoyed the kayaking, exploring the oyster bed during low tide, and the incredible view. Jay is very thoughtful with everything provided at the rental. We also appreciated the handwritten welcome card and snacks.
Beautiful home, well equipped, thoroughly cleaned, very peaceful. Perfect rejuvenating weekend away. Lots of little touches including a telescope for close up views of birds and a seal.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, comfortable and the most amazing location. We came to tour the Olympic Peninsula and had plans for every day but decided to spend a couple or days right here because it was so relaxing and beautiful. I highly recommend this place. Jay is an excellent host.
A time for reconnecting, exploring new paths and inner space, this HOME was all that Lifetime movies want you to believe. Simply, the perfect place and space to be family! Thank you, Jay!!
We had a wonderful stay at this really nice and clean home right on the banks of Hood Canal. We had everything we needed and we’re impressed by the cleanliness. Communication with the owner Jay was quick and easy. It’s quiet and we had a relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

About the host

I am a retired lifelong Northwesterner. I love the great outdoors and many associated activities such as fishing, boating, kayaking, wildlife, golf, skiing, Seattle Mariners, live music.
Why they chose this property
I bought the lot in 2007 and built the house in 2008. I was lucky to find this great location and chose it for its amazing views, beach and fishing/boating opportunities! I love the fact that the property is not right on highway 101 (unlike most other waterfront homes on the Canal) which provides for peace and quiet. I have since discovered it is a bird watchers dream (Bald Eagles, Killdeer, NUMEROUS waterfowl, Kingfishers, Blue Heron, etc.....).
