This was a perfect place for our weekend in the snow. Two families stayed here very comfortably, had everything we needed, close enough to town but far out enough for very quiet evenings. The deck was perfect for our little ones to play securely in the snow. Had a great time and would rent this house again.
Enjoyed our stay. Clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Kid friendly and close to the grocery store (Safeway delivers). Good communication with host.
Our family had a great time. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host had good communication and had sheets with detailed instructions on how to use everything. We would definitely come back
Everything was wonderful! The house looks way better in real life, very cozy! The location is awesome too, we enjoyed the forest view
Definitely can recommend this property
The cabin was clean and well maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen to enjoy some cooking. Very nice and friendly owners made the experience very easy convenient. I would highly recommend this great cabin!
Really lovely neighborhood close to skiing and Lake Tahoe
Great family property with a quiet neighborhood and trails that my kids lived to hike. Great proximity to Northstar, Lake Tahoe, a grocery store, and lots of hiking. The house is very well stocked and really comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay at Wildhorn Cabin. It was very clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The layout is very nice for a family. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals (just be aware there is no coffee grinder!). Location was excellent. We hope to return.

The house is beautiful and clean. It locates in the convenient location. The host is easy to communicate. It has everything we need. We had a great time. Thanks.
Our family was in the area for a wedding. The cabin was a comfortable place for us to stay together. We didn’t have much time to enjoy the many amenities the area has to offer but the cabin had everything we needed and the beds and linens were very comfortable.
Enjoyed a great weekend with friends during the epic snow in late winter of 2023. Easy to access, even with all the snow. Cabin is well appointed and clean and the host was accommodating and lovely. Would rent again when in the Truckee area.
Best VRBO experience we have had. Beds were amazingly comfortable, kitchen well stocked and zen feel within this house. Beautiful backyard view through A frame! What a gem!
Good place to stay in Tahoe Donner. 3 good bedrooms, 2 with King beds and one with Queen and bunks. All good, comfortable mattresses for a good night sleep after a workout on the ski slopes. 4th bedroom is up an outdoor set of stairs and then into loft above garage and was locked during our stay, but I think that one wouldn't be practical in the winter. Kitchen is a bit small but workable and well equipped. Overall we had a great stay.
Trip early Feb. Had a great experience. Place felt spacious. Plenty of cookware and flatware for large family groups. We did hot pot. Host responds quickly to questions. The have a binder that explains things in the home and in the area. The cabin was maybe 1.5 miles going uphill from the base close to shops. There was a lot of snow around the cabin which was a plus. The area around the base of Donnor lake had very little snow at the time.
You will not go wrong with this house! It is stocked with all of the essentials. Plenty of cookware. Lots of dishes, glasses etc. Plenty of towels. Spices, coffee filters, foil, Saran Wrap, garbage bags, recycle bags and much more! Very well laid out home. The view is beautiful. The deck is inviting. Bikes to ride in the garage. Large driveway and room for two cars in the garage. extra chairs and beach chairs as well. I can’t say enough about this place! My family and I had the best time there! It can easily sleep up to 10 people with no problem. Great location as well. We will absolutely be staying at this home again!!
Clean and good location, lacks finer details of a good rental
The property was clean and well located, a few TLC could items make this worth five stars but currently it isn't. Lighting in the bedrooms and kitchen was very dim, and didn't feel inviting.Kitchen faucet drips, felt like I was constantly adjusting the handle to try to get it to stop. When we arrived the staircase was covered in a couple feet of snow, which would have been fine if there had been access to a shovel, instead we were digging out stairs with a sled. All knives at a VRBO are bad, but these could be the worst yet. Bring your own if you plan to cook.
