Hosts provided great communication prior to, during, and after the stay. Little extras like ziplock bags and cooking oil helped us prepare meals in-house. The beds and couches were comfortable and the gas fireplace made it feel really cozy. We would definitely return to this house again. The Truckee area is beautiful and we enjoyed the Nordic trails at Tahoe-Donner nearby.

It’s wonderful to hear you found the furnishings inviting and the fireplace created the warm, cozy atmosphere we strive to provide. Truckee truly is a special place, and we’re so pleased you enjoyed exploring the nearby Nordic trails at Tahoe Donner.
We would be honored to welcome you back for another memorable mountain stay whenever your travels bring you this way.
We enjoyed our stay at this inviting mountain home. The owners provided clear instructions and communicated well--not just about the house but also about community events that were happening during our time there. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable, and there were a variety of toys for our little ones to play with. We enjoyed the trail behind the house that borders a national forest.
We had a blast! The house is well location, we loved the layout and everything was easy to operate. This place is wonderful for kids and two families! Thank you for an amazing house and a fabulous time!
Beautiful house in a quiet area, with thoughtful amenities throughout. We really enjoyed the Tahoe Donner area, and appreciated the ability to go to the clubhouse for dinner. It is within 30 minutes of Lake Tahoe, and served as our base for multiple trips there, as well as to Reno. Everything in the house was in good condition, and we appreciated having the garage to park in at night. Highly recommended!
We are repeat visitors to this property. We love its location. It is comfy and clean. It is prefect for our family of four. The owners are extremely helpful.

Excellent house for our family vacation (my husband and I, my parents, my brother and sister in law and toddler niece). Easy driving distance into Truckee, to Palisades Tahoe, and down to North Lake Tahoe. Hosts are very prepared and have excellent communication.
Beautiful, clean, and comfortable home nestled in the woods convenient to everything. All the amenities were great. Great host that was patient, welcoming, and friendly. Second visit and hope to stay again.

Thank you for the fabulous review. We appreciate it.
The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything our family (2 adults and 2 kids) needed. There is a trail right behind the house. We had a great stay, thank you.
Very clean and extra nice. Very nice location and hiking trails. Loved the extra space, kitchen and neighborhood. We have a large family of all ages and everyone loved it!
Family friendly home with great snowplay area behind
The house is as described and it worked particularly well for us where we had two toddlers. The owners have made the house very young family friendly. Also there is an extensive forest area behind the house with gentle slopes so we were able to introduce the little ones to snow and tobogganing.

Thank you David for the wonderful review - much appreciated.
Our primary purpose was to ski the Lake Tahoe resorts. This place was like a home away from home. It has all the comforts and amenities a family needs and is close to shopping and the ski slopes. Nestled in a wooded community, it is cozy, clean and comfy. Our host Maureen was wonderful and responsive. She sent us area happenings and suggestions during our stay. We simply enjoyed our time and would rent again.

My family of 4 had a great ski week at Maureen and Chris’ comfortable Tahoe Donner home. With 3 bedrooms and a loft, there was plenty of room for more than 4 of us. The house is stocked with everything you need. Excellent communication from Maureen on opening and closing the house. We will definitely look to stay again when we are back in Truckee for skiing.

About the host
Hosted by Maureen Griffin White
We are an active family who loves coming to our Tahoe house. Sometimes we come up to take advantage of all the great recreational offerings in the Tahoe area. Other times I come up with girlfriends and we simply relax and take a break from our busy Silicon Valley lives.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property before we had children. We skied 2-3 times a month and knew we wanted a place of our own. Our family now comes often to enjoy both winter and summer activities.
What makes this property unique
Situated among the beautiful pine trees, we back up to an evergreen belt/national forest ensuring privacy. The house is well designed for either families or couples, with a great room suitable for children or entertaining. We also like the flat driveway during winter time, making it easy to get in and out.
