The Home:
Enter the main level through the airlock front door into our inviting great room. The common area features new hardwood flooring, a leather sofa, 3 large leather chairs, a wood-burning stove with a river rock surround (wood provided), and a beamed, open ceiling. The kitchen has a tiled floor and is fully appointed with a microwave, ceramic glass cooktop, dishwasher, trash compactor, and all the cooking utensils and small appliances you could ever need. There is a breakfast bar seating for three and a large dining room table that can expand for seating of 12.
The Master suite is also on the main level with plush carpet and a wonderful Eastern King with a down comforter. There is a private bath with dual sinks and a shower, a walk-in closet, and a large deck overlooking Prosser Mountain. The deck has a gas BBQ and 4 bar-style chairs to sit and have drinks while taking in the stunning view of Prosser Mountain!
Also on the main level is a full bath complete with a tub/shower combination. Across from there is our spacious inside laundry room with a washer, a gas dryer, and extra linens.
From the common area, stairs lead up to the oversized loft, featuring a massive leather sectional, a theater, and a gaming area. The theater area consists of a 64” Plasma big screen, a Roku, a Blu-ray player, and a 5.1 surround sound system. There is a game table for board games and a small library with books, games, and puzzles. The loft deck offers a supreme view of the adjacent Tahoe National Forest with Prosser Mountain in the distance.
The stairs down from the common area lead to the lower bedrooms and the attached garage. The “Bear room” has a queen bed, a large closet, and access to the lower deck. The “Moose room” sleeps four, featuring a double bed, a twin bed, and a slide-out twin under the double bed. A full bath with a shower is adjacent to the lower bedrooms. The lower level can also be accessed through the garage.
The home is equipped with an elevator that can be used for a small fee. This must be arranged in advance. Please contact us if needed.
In addition to the multiple decks on the home, there is a stone patio in the back of the house that is great to sit out on in the summer. During the winter, the back of the house with its open forest terrain (NO homes out back) is wonderful for sledding! Our family has spent many hours out back sledding and playing in the snow.

About the host
Hosted by Bob Hansen
This is a mother/daughter owned homed (along with our husbands). The mother is a retired school teacher and her husband will soon retire from the same field. The daughter and her husband are retired from a major computer technology company.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home in this location NOT as a vacation rental property - but as a place where we could create and share fond memories with our direct and extended families. We love the mountains and the surrounding area of Truckee and sure you will as well. Since we cannot be there all the time, we make it available for rent during other times. This is our home first, and a rental second.
What makes this property unique
See Property description as it more than covers the wonderful benefits of our place and surrounding area.
