About this property

Green Drake Tiny Home

The Green Drake is an intimate, thoughtfully crafted tiny home locally built in Livingston, Montana, and designed specifically for two—ideal for couples looking to slow down, unplug, and enjoy Montana’s wide-open views. This is a true tiny home, intentionally small and cozy, perfect for guests who appreciate compact living and well-designed spaces.

Inside, the cabin features a comfortable living area with a fireplace, built-in bookshelves, and a fully stocked kitchen suited for simple meals and relaxed evenings in. High-speed Wi-Fi and a smart TV make it easy to stream Netflix or your favorite services when you’re ready to unwind.

The sleeping loft is snug and accessed by tight stairs, requiring some crawling and low-clearance movement to get in and out. Once settled in, the loft is exceptionally comfortable and cozy, but due to the tight layout, this unit may not be a good fit for guests with mobility limitations, anyone uncomfortable in small spaces, or those who prefer more room to move around.

Outside, a spacious private deck offers sweeping views of the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains, with iconic Emigrant Peak beautifully framed right through the front door. Whether you’re enjoying morning coffee, watching the light change at sunset, or spending a quiet evening together, the deck is a true highlight of the Green Drake experience.

Best option in the valley

Really enjoyed our stay at the Green Drake Tiny Home. My boyfriend and I stayed for a night with our dogs while in the area for an event at Pine Creek Lodge, and it was an ideal home base. Easy access to the river and multiple Hot Springs made the location especially hard to beat - paradise valley is deceivingly large so not all locations are created equal. This location absolutely nails it. We were genuinely impressed by how thoughtfully the space is laid out — compact in the best way, with every detail feeling considered and nothing wasted. It felt comfortable, clean, and very well designed. The use of space makes the kitchen feel better than mine at home! Also hard to overstate what a good value it is. For the quality, location, and experience, it feels like one of the best options in the valley, especially for the price. We’d absolutely stay again.

True Paradise!!

Incredible spot located literally in the best parts of Paradise Valley! I was so impressed by the intentionality of every piece in the tiny home and the cozy upstairs was wonderful. Views from all angles were immaculate and you are must minutes away from so many incredible places: Sage Lodge, Chico Hot Springs, Old Saloon, Pine Creek, 20 minute drive into downtown Livingston, right around the corner from the General Store for anything you may have forgotten and steps out from running on dirt roads up to the mountains. Will absolutely be back many, many more times for trips with my husband, solo trips or with my girlfriends. Couldn't have asked for a better stay, and biggest plus was that its dog friendly!!

Hi there! We’re EJ and Natalie, the proud owners of Yellow Stonefly Cabins.

Our journey together started over a decade ago at Montana State University where we discovered our shared passion for the outdoors. Though we both grew up in Colorado—Natalie in the mountain town of Crested Butte and EJ in the cow town of Greeley— Montana has always had our hearts.

EJ has a degree in Fish and Wildlife and has spent years working with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, exploring the mountains, rivers, and backroads of this incredible state. He knows these waters like the back of his hand and never passes up an opportunity to fish. Natalie, on the other hand, has spent the last five years managing vacation homes in Big Sky, helping travelers experience the magic of Montana firsthand. Together, we’ve built a life centered around adventure, whether it’s casting a line at sunrise, hiking to a new alpine lake, skiing through fresh powder, or loading up our Airstream for a weekend escape.

No adventure is complete without our two Labrador retrievers, Honey and Bo, who rule our world (and would argue that they actually own the cabins). If you see them trotting around the property, just know they’re on very important business—mostly greeting guests, sniffing out the best trails, and scouting for snacks.

In November of 2024, we took a leap and purchased this special property, fulfilling a dream we’ve had for years. We instantly fell in love with the charm of these cabins and the breathtaking setting of Paradise Valley, and we knew we wanted to create a space where others could experience the same sense of peace and adventure that we feel here.

We have big plans in store—from exciting new additions to thoughtful little spruce-ups—all with the goal of making Yellow Stonefly Cabins an even more welcoming and beautiful retreat. This summer will be a busy one, but we’re embracing every moment of it, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you
